   Chaotic. Busy. Crazy.

Those were the words Tej thought as he walked besides Avika, gazing at the flowers in the flower market. Dadar Station being located in the heart of Mumbai was always notoriously crowded. And one wouldn't hesitate to describe the same about the flower market that thrived right next to the station in a narrow lane under the flyover.

It had almost taken them an hour or so to buy flowers and other things that were on the list as they explored the streets of Dadar together. It wouldn't hurt to say that Avika knew the streets like the back of her hand whilst Tej followed her with bags in his hands. She would occasionally ask him his opinions if he liked this or that and being the clueless boy that he was, he would just ask her to buy whatever she liked.

He didn't want to imagine the mess he would have been in if Avika hadn't come along with him. Imagining himself calling his sister for help several times over the tiniest thing made him shudder because Shefali would've never let him forget just how much of an amateur he was.

"Since we are done with buying everything, how about we go and eat vada pav?" Avika asked as they purchased the last item on the list.

Tej glanced at his wristwatch. It was almost eight o'clock. If they went to eat now, it might strike nine by the time Avika would reach home.

"Are you okay with staying out late?" he asked with concern laced in his voice.

"Yeah, I don't have any problem. Besides, we are in my neighbourhood so it's okay" she assured.

"Alright, but I have one condition" he said.

"Is this about whose treat it will be?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with amusement.

He laughed a little shaking his head "We already settled that the next time we eat together it will be on me"

"Did we?" she asked as she pretended to think before smiling at him "Well, I guess we did"

He smiled at her words. There was something about her that let him take his guard down. He had almost forgotten the number of times he had smiled today because of her. For the first time ever, he was interested to know someone and befriend the person. Something he never imagined himself doing in this lifetime.

His mind took him back to the conversation he and Avika had at the station.

"Don't do things which make you unhappy, Avika. Especially for a boy"

Her lips had parted slightly as if she wanted to protest or defend herself but maybe no words came to her mind. She let go of a heavy sigh.

"I am not unhappy, Tej. I am glad and happy that I like Viraj"
