"Okay enough both of you. Knock it off!" Trisha exclaimed as she and Avika watched Tej and Viraj stare at each other intensely.

Tej let go of Viraj's hand and smiled "That's how boys meet. Right, Viraj?"

Viraj clenched his jaw. He wanted to wipe off that smile from Tej's face.

Why did he forward his hand? Had he not done it, he would be the one showing Tej what a firm handshake means.

"Yeah right. Sizing each other up is how boys meet nowadays, huh?" Trisha scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Honestly, all three of you should knock it off. Let's go and eat something. I am starving" Avika said, picking up her bag and slinging it over her shoulder.

"Right. Even my stomach rumbled now that you mentioned food" Trisha mumbled as she stood up on her feet and slung her bag over her shoulder.

Avika looked at Viraj "Are you coming with us?" she asked.

Viraj nodded giving her a small smile.

"And you?" she asked, averting her gaze towards Tej.

"Of course he is! You are, right?" Trisha asked, looking at him.

Tej stood awkwardly as three eyes regarded him for an answer. He cleared his throat before nodding.

He wasn't used to getting attention. Not even a little.

"Good. Starting from today you are going to hang out with us" Trisha declared as she linked her arm in his arm and started walking towards the door.

"Trisha! Wait for us" Avika called out as she saw her best friend walk out of the class.

Instinctively, she grabbed Viraj's hand as she followed Trisha and Tej out of the class. Not realizing Trisha had stopped in her tracks, Avika bumped into her back.

"Ah! Trisha, why did yo—"

She paused mid-sentence when she heard Sania's voice.

"I am so sorry. I was with Rakshit and we went to his college so I was there since morning—"

She slowly moved to the side to check whether it was Sania or someone whose voice was similar to Sania's.

"What were you doing there? Don't you have your college to attend?" Trisha asked, cutting her off sharply.

Sania frowned "He is my boyfrie—"

"And we are your friends. Since the college started, when did you ever attend the college?" Trisha questioned interrupting her again.

Avika nibbled on her bottom lip at the exchange of their words. If there was something that she knew too well was that Trisha disliked anyone prioritizing relationships over friendship and from the past one month, Sania had barely attended college.
