"You're still at home?" Shefali asked as Tej walked out of his room.
He nodded "I am leaving now" he informed her, walking towards the dining table and pouring himself a glass of water.
"It's 01:30, Tej" Shefali pointed out.
"I know" he gulped down the water in one go and kept the glass back on the table "I didn't plan to go but there is some kind of election or selection today in the class" he said as he walked towards the door.
"Okay but Ma has given this list of things that you have to buy for the puja" she said as she tore the page from the notepad "and she has asked you to buy it today itself from Dadar. So, don't forget"
Tej nodded, taking the paper from his elder sister. The mere thought of Dadar brought a smile on Tej's face. Even though the possibility of meeting her again seemed low, he wanted to hope that he would see her again.
And this time he would ask her her name!
He wondered if she knew his name but then he immediately remembered her calling him by his name when they were arguing with each other over the bill.
How did she know his name? He didn't remember telling her his name then how did she know? Had she read his name in the admin office that day?
Suddenly, many questions began to run through his mind but either way he found himself looking forward to seeing her. If not in Dadar then maybe in college.
"Why are you smiling like that?" Shefali asked, looking at her brother curiously. She hadn't seen him smile like that before.
The smile on his face dropped immediately at her words. "Like what?" he asked feigning innocence.
She narrowed his eyes at him "Don't try to act oblivious. You know what I am talking about"
"I swear, I don't!" he exclaimed as he wore his sneakers.
"Are you dating someone?" she asked, studying her brother's expression.
Tej snorted. "You know how I feel about dating" he said as he kept the paper inside his bag.
He didn't believe in dating nor did he want to harbor romantic feelings for anyone. Love was one thing he never wished to experience in his life.
Shefali rolled her eyes "Maybe you should just start dating Sara" she suggested.
"Sara?" he scoffed "Have you finally lost it?"
"What is wrong with her?" she asked, lifting her brow at him in a questioning manner.
"There's nothing wrong with her. I just don't want to date" he muttered annoyed.
"People who keep running from love are the first ones to fall in love" she teased as he opened the door.
