I woke up in the hospital with a mask on my face and burning white lights in my eyes. I could see doctors and nurses talking to me but I couldn't hear what they were saying. My ears were ringing and I couldn't focus on anything but the pain I felt in my arms... and my legs. I couldn't feel them. I tried to move them but I didn't know if it was working or not.

I began thrashing violently against the people pinning me down. A nurse was yelling at me to calm down, but I couldn't. I couldn't bare the thought of losing my legs. I was a dancer and I needed them now more than ever. I continued to fight until I felt a sharp stinging in my arm, and my world went black again.

"Alright Jared, I'll catch you later." I waved my brother goodbye and got into my car. The band was going to have a long break because Jared was about to begin filming The Suicide Squad and there wasn't a better time for me to start Black Fuel Trading Company. I had some places that I wanted to check out and see how the business would be.

I did some research and found that coffee sales were through the roof in Portland, Maine and highest in the country, so I definitely wanted to check out spots there. I contacted a real estate agent, and he said that there were a few places going out of business that would be a great location for my company. I would be meeting him in 3 months, but for now I wanted to get home and relax. It felt like I hadn't had the opportunity to breathe in years. Now I could focus on what I wanted and not feel bad about the band.

Don't get me wrong. I love my brother and Tomo, but I needed a break. We all did, and now that we have it we can start our own journeys that would lead us to something amazing.
