Daisy's POV

I watched as Shannon stood frozen watching Raven disappear into Jax's office. His hands gripped the bar counter turning his knuckles white.

I grew devastated the longer he stood there staring. It was obvious he loved her, and I would never be the one he would truly love. I knew that he loved her, and I knew that from the beginning, but why did it hurt so much to watch him staring after her?

"Shannon," I said softly, but he didn't respond. "Shannon," I tried again and lightly touched his arm.

He jumped slightly at my touch. I felt him shaking, and my heart fractured even more.

Tears came to my eyes as I spoke. "Shannon, if she means that much to you. I can stay here, and you can try to convince her to go. She obviously means more to you than I do."

Shannon finally turned and looked at me. He almost looked deathly sick and face was wet with tears. He wiped them away and cleared his throat. He was suddenly composed as if nothing had even happened.

"You're safety is just as important to me," he wiped my tears away with his thumb and gave me a weak smile.

"But you don't love me. You love her." I pointed to Jax's office. "I want to go with you, and get as far away from here as possible but..."

"What's stopping you? I admit I love- loved her, and I kept think there was hope when there wasn't, and now I see that I'm wasting my time trying to save someone who doesn't want to be saved." He paused and bit his lip. "If you want to come with me I'd be glad to take care of you until you can get your feet under you again." He smoothed my hair down and kissed my forehead.

"I'll see you in two weeks," he said before walking away.
