I sat at the café table and sipped on my coffee watching the world pass by. Couples with their children, busy business men, and the average everyday shopper. Each with a destination to be that was keeping them from enjoying today's beauty.

I, however, am lucky enough to sit and enjoy the warm rays of sunlight dance on my skin.

As I watched the people I thought of all the friends I had. Daisy was engaged to a nice southern boy named Daryl. Talia and Haiden had tied the not and now had a beautiful baby girl Edith. Venus and Pixie had fallen in love and we're now dating. It was strange, but I was happy for them. As for Jax, he's was sentenced to 12 years in jail.

"Is this seat taken?"

I looked up to see a pair of beautiful hazel eyes peering at me from over a set of sunglasses. Those hazel eyes that were so full of life, so full of love, they melted me to the core of my soul filling me with hope.

"Only by you," I said with a smile.

He leaned over the table and softly pressed his lips to mine before sitting down.

"Hey boss!" A waitress named Amy said as she served a table of older women.

"Hey, Amy. How are you?" Shannon replied sweetly.

"I'm great! Thanks!" She smiled and waved at us before walking back inside.

I looked at him and smiled. He was as sweet as sweet could get. Everyone loved him, and I was no different. I admired him and his willingness to help and be there for people. On many occasions he would even put on an apron and get to work. One of his many qualities that held my heart captive.

"What?" He said with a smirk.

"Nothing." I took his hand in mine and kissed it.

He took his hand away and lightly stroked my cheek with his thumb, and I leaned into his touch.

"You're so beautiful," he said catching a lock of hair as the wind blew it in my face.

Suddenly Shannon's attention turned to something behind me, and a large grin played at his lips.

"Raven, this is my brother Jared."

I turned around to meet a beautiful blue gaze.

I mentally laughed. I guess it runs in the family.
