I avoided Shannon's gaze like the plague. I couldn't deal with looking into those hurt pain filled hazel eyes.

"You can't stay anymore, Raven." Talia walked to the freezer and grabbed some ice and wrapped it in a towel. She walked back over to me and gently placed it on my cheek. I winced from the pain.

"Don't tell me what to do, Talia!"

Shannon was pacing back and forth. I could see rage in his tensed posture. I had the sudden urge to comfort him, but I refrained from saying anything further.

"Do you have any idea what I've done for you? I tried to keep your ass out of the gutter, but you keep going right back! You can't see what Jax is doing to you, but I can! You've got to let whatever the hell is in your head go!"

"I know what you're trying to do for me Talia, but maybe I don't want you to save me! Have you ever though about that?" I started to feel my legs again and tried standing. I stood for a brief second then went plummeting to the floor, but Shannon caught me just in time.

He forced my chin up to look at him. There was a flood of emotion behind those brown and green eyes. My body started to react to his touch, and I tried pushing him away.

"Let go of me!" I demanded pushing harder, but he only tightened his grip.

"Tell me you hate me. Tell me that last night meant nothing to you, and then I'll let you go."

I was taken off guard. I knew that if I told him that I didn't love him, I'd risk losing him forever, and was I ready for that? His presence drove my heart wild with scary pleasure. His touch made me shiver with a terrifying delight, and the way our bodies fit together drove me mad with ecstasy, but I didn't deserve him.

I opened my mouth to tell him the lies that would drive him away, but luckily I didn't have to say a word. Jax threw the door open locking eyes with Shannon.

Talia quickly took me from Shannon's grasp and placed me back on the couch.

"What the hell do you think you're doing." Jax was fuming. His fists were clenched tightly at his sides, and his face was flushing blood red.

"I brought him here! She tried to stand, but she fell and he caught her! Because no thanks to you she lost the nerve connections in her legs!" Talia stepped in between Jax and Shannon who looked prepared to kill each other.

"Get out of the way, Talia!" Jax pushed her to the ground, which was a big mistake. Talia wasn't afraid to fight back.

She tripped him and was quickly on top of him clawing at his face with her long nails. Shannon pulled her off and forced her behind him.

"You bitch! You're fired!"

"You can't fire me! It's not in your power to fire me! My name is on that contract as a co-founder! We're equal you, prick!" Talia tried to get Jax again but Shannon turned around and held her in his tight grip.

"Talia calm down!" Shannon said shaking her slightly. Her breath was heavy with rage, but she allowed Shannon to push her back away from Jax.

"You have no right-" Shannon began but was interrupted by a punch to his jaw. Shannon staggered but recovered quickly and tackled Jax to the ground.

I felt so useless. I watched in horror as Shannon and Jax rolled on the ground throwing punches at each other. Talia tried to pull Jax off of Shannon but was pushed back so forcefully she fell back and hit her head knocking her unconscious.

"Stop," I said, but it continued. "Stop." I grew louder, but they didn't listen. "STOP IT!!! JUST STOP IT!!! PLEASE!!!" The tears I had been holding back flowed freely down my face now. They both stopped to look at my hysterical crying.

They both made their way to me, but I refused them both and built up the strength to crawl to my injured friend. I gently placed her head in my lap. She was still breathing and her pulse seemed otherwise normal. I kissed her blonde head and cried some more.

"Raven-" Jax began but I cut him off.

"Get out! Both of you!" I shouted venomously. I glared at them in anger. Jax's face was bloody with cuts and covered in bruises. Shannon's bottom lip was busted and there were a few bruises on his cheek and neck. I guess at some point Jax tried to choke Shannon to death.

My heart was broken. I didn't know what to do, so I just continued to cradle Talia in arms and cry.
