Naomi's POV

When I woke up, the room was bright with sunlight and there was money on the floor in front of my face.

I quickly got up and tripped over myself. My head was pounding and my vision was blurry but I need to get to Lilly. Her door was wide open and she was completely naked and in the fetal position laying in a small pool of blood around her waist.

I cried out and ran to my daughter. Her tiny body was shaking and her eyes stared blankly at the wall.

"Lilly! Lilly mommy is so sorry! Mommy is so sorry! I'm so sorry baby! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!" I cried into her hair and rocked her back and forth. I picked her up and carried her to the bathroom and turned on the shower.

I sat in the tub with her letting the water wash over us both as I cried over my child's lost innocence.

Jame's POV *two years later

"So how is that sick woman and her daughter? You haven't seen them lately," my son said teasingly.

"James Allen Xander Jr., you do not talk to me like that!" I said looking at him for a moment before I put my attention back on the road.

"Then do what we had agreed you'd do and take me to the bar. I think mom would find that to be an interesting story. How you fell in love with a woman who has aids. Oh boy I can see her face now."

"You shut up! You're a vile, evil, spoiled, rotten brat!"

"What was that woman's name? Nikki. Natasha. Nelly- oh wait! It was Naomi right?"

"Fine I'll take you to the fucking bar, but not a word to your mother James."

"And stop calling me James! You're James. I'm Jax."

"You're a pain in my ass."

He laughed at that. "I do wonder how that little girl is fairing though. She has the potential to be quite beautiful. Lets go see them before we hit the bar."

I looked at him angrily, and he stared back with a daring smirk playing at his lips.

"Fine."

I drove to the apartment complex and was surprised to find the apartment empty.

The neighbor had been walking by and I kindly stopped her. "Excuse me, but can you tell me what happened to the woman and the little girl that was living here?"

"The woman died a month ago, and the child was put into foster care."

"What?"

"Yeah poor lady died of aids."

"Damn! I was so looking forward to seeing Lilly again," Jax said sarcastically.

"Thank you miss," I said before my son could say anything else.

The neighbor nodded and went about her way.

I felt horrible. I didn't take care of them enough and now Naomi died without me even knowing.

"Wouldn't it be cool to own a club one day?" Jax said leaning against the wall.

I was disgusted with him. No matter what his mother and I did, he was always a trouble maker.
