Alrighty, this is timeskip- the chapter. Because we gonna zoom through a long period of time

"In all my time knowing you, I've never seen you so angry," Lovise said. "I can't say that I blame you though. How are you feeling?"

"I'm exhausted."

He had prepared himself to speak, but he hadn't expected to take that much. He considered himself to be a generally calm person, but there had been so many emotions fighting to escape. Even now, he was still furious, he hated what Lord Cassius had said. But that initial flare of anger was starting to dim, and any energy that he had before was quickly sapped away.

When he entered his home, he was relieved that it wasn't as loud as it could have been. It was still loud, but there was a distinct lack of screaming and things being broken. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to manage the triplets at the moment, and he worried that he was going to snap at them. He was thankful that he couldn't see any of them at all.

He grabbed some snacks then went to the nearest couch, practically collapsing on it. He closed his eyes and let himself wander off. A few minutes later, he felt the cushions sink at both of his sides, and since it was still quiet, he figured it was his parents who sat next to him.

"Hey," he murmured, opening his eyes.

"You look tired, did something happen?" Juline asked.

"A lot happened recently," he answered. "First, there was the incident with Kee-"

"Wait," Lovise interrupted.

It wasn't often that Lovise would interrupt him, so he sat up and properly looked at her.

"I realize that I didn't stop you from mentioning it to your friends, but I figured that I should tell you now. It's best that you don't bring that up, because that's not your trauma, but someone else's. And without permission, you probably shouldn't go around telling other people about it."

Dex paused and took her words in. It wasn't his experience. He shouldn't have spoken up about it, not until he'd asked Keefe first. Then, he remembered what had happened. The way Keefe was tense, and even asked to not discuss the topic anymore.

Would I have wanted someone to tell the others if I was in that situation? No... I wouldn't.

"Sh*t," he muttered.

"I don't know what Lovise is talking about," Kesler began. "But I do agree with what she's saying. For the most part, it isn't a good idea to do that. You didn't have any ill intent, but it's a good thing to keep in mind for the future."

He nodded in understanding.

"Instead, you can tell us the less personal details," Juline continued.

That, Dex did do. He asked questions about the future, about how one would know what they would want. His dad, who was unable to become a noble, gave some helpful advice. Keefe was questioning himself and what he wanted, and Dex wanted to help him find some of those answers.

He recounted the conversation that he and Keefe had with Cassius Sencen, because in this case, he was more involved, and it was less traumatic. He repeated some of these cruel words that had been said.

"I wish that we could invite him over and spoil him," Kesler said. "But he's not not allowed to leave right now. Do you think you'll be able to call him?"

Dex thought about it, then frowned. "When he learned that we were dating, he took Keefe's imparter."

He chose not to mention the part where Cassius had also asked him to break up with Keefe. As much as that had hurt, he knew that he couldn't tell his parents, they were already angry enough. Kesler looked like he was about to erupt, his jaw tense as he tried to keep quiet. Juline, with her experience of being Squall, wasn't so obvious about it, but her eyes were alight with fury. He was glad that they were angry though, because not enough people were.
