When I first saw the trailer I thought it would have a sad ending since it was a lesbian period film.
But the movie took me by surprise, it was refreshing to finally see a period film in which the lesbians are alive and together till the end.
Although the moments between the two women are mostly shown in the form of flashbacks, they were sweet and heart warming.
The ending may seem fantastical and fairy tale like for a film based on that era but this is what the gays deserved.
