The movie is set in Ireland around the mid 90s where Amber and Eddie who are both gay start dating each other to hide their sexualities.
While Eddie deals with internalised homophobia and Amber deals with her own past trauma and also gets a girlfriend along with it. 😌
The film also shows the beautiful display of mlm and wlw solidarity though there are some fights 8n between.
I would consider it a happy ending as Amber and her girlfriend are still together at the end of the movie while Eddie runs away to start a new life.
