The movie focuses more on exploring the sexuality of Ellie Chu and her emotions than the romance between Ellie and Aster.
Though both of the female leads spend limited time together, each moment they spend together is very intense.
The movie also portrays a platonic friendship between a girl and a boy and shows a non toxic jock which I always love.
Although there's a kiss at the end, the movie has an open ending and thus it depends on how you view the ending.
