I have so many mixed feelings about this one. This could have been a perfectly good little rom-com because the leads were actually cute together and had good chemistry. I totally dug the shy emo x extroverted sunshine dynamics they had. But all of that was ruined by the ending which I will come to later.
Now the movie started good for an indie film, and as I cat lover I really appreciated the involvement of the cat. Personally, if someone took my photos without permission I would have been creeped out but for the sake of romance and since April didn't mind it herself I am willing to let it go. I also liked the smut scenes though later gave second-hand embarrassment because of how it ended.
It would have been a simple basic yet cute film I wouldn't have minded it a bit but what actually killed me was the fucking RAPE SCENE??? It came out of nowhere and hit me in the face like a trainwreck, whoever wrote and directed this scene was clearly on something to ruin a perfectly watchable film like that. So to say I HATED the ending would be an understatement.
