The rest of the day had gone considerably fast and I was glad school was over for the day.

During my last period of the day, I became lab partners with Nick and we also decided to become partners on the joint assignment that was handed out at the beginning of class.

Both Veronica and Callie were unfortunately in my science class.
I could soon tell that Veronica was clearly the "it girl" at Brampton High. Or at least she tried to be.
I would catch her glancing back at me during class and soon after whispering something into Callie's ear which would make them both laugh.

Veronica constantly flirted with a guy called Ryan through the entire period. Ryan was cute but from what I could tell there wasn't anything special about him.

Nick informed me that Veronica only flirted or even talked to Ryan because he would do her work for her and joint assignments all by himself. But she never speaks to him outside of the class. Nick also told me how she has guys just like Ryan for nearly every class she has.

I felt bad for Ryan, and every other guy Veronica used for that matter. It wasn't hard to see why they would be all interested in her. Putting aside her vial personality she was very pretty. She had shinny blonde hair and blue eyes and a tiny little waist. What more could a guy want?

If there was a Regina George of our school, Veronica was her.

Our teacher for science was a middle aged man with grey hair, who spoke in a low robotic voice and he didn't even try to hide the fact he was bored. Every five minutes or so he would check his watch and then roll his eyes before continuing to drone on with the lesson. In fact when the bell rung signally the end of class, he looked more relived than I felt and didn't hesitate before quickly ushering us all out of the room.

I had now been walking for ten minutes in the direction, which I was convinced my new house was in. Except, I didn't recognise any of the road names. Despite the fact I knew that I was lost, I still carried on walking determined to find my way home.

As I walked down the long deserted road that felt as if it would never end, my satchel bag started to feel heavy on my shoulder and was pulling off my blazer. I loved the uniform I had to wear. I wore a navy blue blazer with a white blouse, black tights with flats. My black skirt was a bit shorter than the average girls being mid thigh length but was still respectable. But at that moment I wished I was wearing something a little more comfortable.

The boys of my school had to wear the same blazer with black trousers, white shirt and black shoes with white socks.
In our uniform the school looked really smart. Most people hate uniforms but I love them. They just make a school look more like a school.

A black car pulled up a few metres in front of me even though there were no houses or shops near by. I stopped in my tacks and slowly turned, walking back the way I had came. I was not taking any risks, especially since there were defiantly no houses until further up ahead.

As I walked in the other direction the car started to reverse.

This can't be happening... This just can't be happening...

I started panicking and walked faster as the car came closer. I grabbed my pepper spray I always carried with me from my bag and clutched it tightly.
The car stopped beside me and the tinted passenger window rolled down. Exhaling, I released a breath I hadn't even realise I was holding when I recognised the driver who was grinning at me.

"Need a lift?" Dallas called from behind the wheel.

"Thanks for the offer but I should be home soon," I smiled trying to calm my racing heart rate down.
