Chapter 8

Royalty POV

It's the end of the day for school and I'm outside waiting on my dad to pick me up. School was okay it's nothing knew just our first year in high school. I have to say, high school isn't like how everyone say it is. It's full of drama on the first day. I was waiting outside by the car rider line when this older boy walked up to me.

"Wassup wit you?" He asked
"Huh?" I asked
"You a junior ?" He asked
"Yep. " I said
"I can tell. You short as hell" He said chuckling
"I know a bunch of people in the 12th grade that's the same height as me" I said
"Yeah like taller than you though " He said
"Yeah okay" I said
"Nah fr though, what's your name?" He asked
"Royalty " I said
" Unique , I ain't never heard of no girl name like that in this school" He said
"Yeah, my parents are different" I said
Yours though?" I asked
"Damario" Damario said
"Oh that's cool" I said

I really wasn't a fan of his name. I usually go for fine looking guys with cute names. But he was cute and he's tall. So I just might go for it. But the only thing about it, is that he's a Senior and I'm a junior.

"You don't like my name?" Damario asked
"I do, it's just not what I'm use to" I said
"You can get use to me. I would like to get to know you though" Damario said
"Why? Because I'm a freshman or something?" I asked
"Nah. I done been with plenty of freshman's before and I ain't even like that. You can ask anybody around here" Damario said
"What do you want to get to know about me?" I asked

Before he could say anything I seen my dad about to pull up. I couldn't let him see me talking to a boy because he will flip out and embarrass me and I don't got time for that.

"Hey look, my ride is here. I'll see you around school" I said
"Lemme have your number first" Damario said pulling my arm

I looked at my dad and looked back at Damario. I didn't want to get embarrassed by my dad , but at the same time I wanted to talk to Damario more because he seems like a cool person. I grabbed his unlocked phone went to the contacts and typed my number.

"Now I gotta go" I said walking away

I walked towards the car and got inside.

"Hey dad" I said grabbing my seat belt
"Wassup baby. " My dad said
"How was work?" I asked
"It's good to see everybody back. How was school?" My dad asked
"It was okay. It's high school. Nothing exciting " I said
"I seen you talking to that boy" My dad said
"You did?" I asked
"Yeah so you gone explain what's going on?" My dad asked
"What are you talking about?" I said looking out the window
"Royalty you know I don't do that lying stuff you know that. You also know how I feel about you dating. Especially older boys" My dad said
"Here we go" I said shaking my head
"You 16 Royalty. Not 18" My dad said
"I know that dad. Mom doesn't have a problem with it so what's the problem?" I asked
"Royalty I'm not fucking playing with you. Let me catch you sneaking boys over there you'll see" My dad said
"Dad, I'm not even dating him" I said
"We gone see" My dad said

The problem with my dad is that he doesn't trust me. I can't even talk to a boy without him doing what he's doing now. I literally have to keep my relationships on the low just so my dad doesn't find out. I tell mom because she's cool about the situation and she understands. But dad on the other hand doesn't understand. I'm 16 and he treated me like I'm 10. The rest of the car ride was silent. About 10 mins later we arrived at home. I hopped out the car and used my key to open the door. I seen mom and aunt Kehlani in the living room talking.
Avianna  was on her phone. I'm guess everybody haven't got here yet.

"Hey mom hey aunt Kehlani " I said
"Hey baby. How was school?" Mom asked
"It was okay. Dad is tripping again" I said plopping on the couch
"The boys again?" Mom asked
"Yes. This older boy was talking to me and dad freaked out for no apparent reason" I said
"You know how your dad is baby. He's been that way since you were a baby" Mom said
"She know how I am I don't even know why we still talking about this" Dad said
"I'm going to my room. Avianna wanna come?" I asked
"Yes I gotta tell u something anyways " Avianna said
"Pack your stuff. We will be leaving for Kehlani house in a min" Mom shouted
"Okay" I said walking to my room

I walked into my room and threw my book bag at the door. Between my dad and school it was a rough day.

"Where's everybody else?" I asked
"True, Zay , Mya Syx , and Camilla rode the bus over to Aunt Kehlani house since True usually rides the bus anyways" Avianna said
"Ohhh okay. By they self though?" I asked
"No. Uncle Trey is there"
"Ohh okay. But guess what happened after you left" I said
"Dad tripping again?" Avianna asked
"Yes. Like this senior came up to me flirting with me and he asked for my number but just to be friends so I did that and remind you my dad was sitting in the car watching so when I got into the car my dad plays it off by asking me how was school then gets mad because he sees me "flirting" with him"I said
"Bro gotta let you grow up" Avianna said
"He's annoying" I said
"Wait hold on, we ain't gone speed past that. You was talking to a senior ? " Avianna asked
"Yes. It wasn't anything major though" I said
"Bitch it's the first day and you already pulling seniors " Avianna said
"Not like that" I said
"Who is it?" Avianna asked
"Damario" I said
"Bitch he fine as fuck and you don't want that?" Avianna asked
"How ima date him if my daddy this strict. He might try and kill him" I said
"Girl when have you ever listened to your daddy?" Avianna asked
"You right" I said chuckling
"Exactly, so give it a try" Avianna said
"I'll thank about it" I said
"Girls! Y'all ready?"Aunt Kehlani asked
"Yeah! " I said grabbing my bags
" reunited with everybody for the week? Let's see how this go bitch" Avianna said
"Right" I said chuckling

This about to be a long week and weekend.

Royalty met a senior?! Y'all think he one of them boys or he actually want to get to know her?
Qua being an overprotective dad ! AS HE SHOULD!
