Chapter 38

Jada POV

I reread the message over and over that Jay sent me. I quickly called Kehlani and told her what was going on and she called a family meeting. So me and Mya were on our way over to Kehlani's house at 11pm at night.

"Mom you okay?" Mya asked
"Yeah I'm fine baby. It's just a lot going on right now" I said
"Everything's going to be alright" Mya said
"I know baby. I know" I said wiping my tears

Even though me and Jay had our ups and downs a lot I didn't want anything to happen to him and I still loved him no matter what happens between us. I pulled into Kehlani's house and parked the car. I got out and rung the doorbell. True came to the door.

"Hey auntie" True said giving me a hug
"Hey baby" I said hugging her back

I walked into the living room and waited until Trey and Kehlani came out the room.

"You okay?" Kehlani asked
"No im worried. I'm scared." I said
"Everything's going to be alright" Kehlani said hugging me
"Everybody else on the way, can I see yo phone?" Trey asked
"Yea" I said handing him my phone

30mins later...

Everybody was finally here. My phone was being passed around so everybody could see the message.

"So what we gone do?" Legend asked
"I don't know man. But that's my brotha" I said
"We have to do something. Mya can't grow up without a father" I said
"She won't. We can't strike back yet though" Qua said
"What? Yes we can. He has Jay what are we suppose to do sit here until he's dead?" I said as tears came to my eyes
"Calm down" Aaliyah said
"Ain't no calming down about this. This is my child's father we talking about and y'all expect for me to sit here and be calm. No I can't do that" I said
"If we strike back right now, Jamir will know we know he got Jay. And he could take Jay phone from him and he could get hurt. So by us sitting here like we don't know nothing is good for now. By this message be fine. Ain't nothing going to happen to him this man strong and know what he doing. " Qua said
"Okay" I said

I didn't agree with them at all but I understood. We had to act normal because if we did do something ain't no telling what would happen to Jay.

"We gone handle it" Trey said
"Okay" I said
"We need a plan though. Like what if he strikes first?" Seven said
"We can talk about that in the morning. We all need some rest. Everybody welcomed to crash here tonight and head back home in the morning if y'all want to" Trey said
"Yeah I'm not going to be able to sleep knowing Jay could possibly be hurt right now" I said
"I'll sit down here with her to calm her down" Seven said
"Okay goodnight yall" Kehlani said
"Goodnight" I said

Seven came over and gave me a hug. All I could do was cry because I was so worried about what they could be doing to Jay right now.

"It's okay" Seven said
"I'm scared Seven I'm scared. I still love him.. and he's my child's father. If anything happens to him I'll lose my mind" I said
"I know. But he's going to be okay. Jay is strong. He's a very strong man" Seven said
"Yeah I know. I can't wait until he's home" I said
"He will be home soon. You know Trey them gone get him home safe" Seven said
"You right" I said
"Stop stressing yourself out. You got me thinking you pregnant again" Seven said
"Girl no" I said chuckling

Me and Seven ended up talking a little more before we went to bed. The kids slept in True's room with her. I walked into the room and plugged my phone up. I sat there for a moment thinking about everything. I took my pants off and my bra and just slept in my shirt since I didn't bring any clothes. I put my hair into a messy bun and laid down. I quickly fell asleep.

The next morning..

I woke up to the sun shinning in my eyes. I looked on my phone to see a missed call from Jay. I quickly sat up and called back. It ringed for about 4 times and then he finally answered.

Phone call with Jay💙

"Hey baby" Jay said
"BABY! Omg are you okay?" I asked
"Baby I'm fine" Jay said
"Where are you?" I asked
"I can't tell you where I am baby. Just know I'm alright and I'm going to be alright" Jay said
"Baby.. please tell me where you are" I said as tears escaped from my eyes
"Baby I love you. Kiss Mya for me. I gotta go" Jay said

End of call

I hung the phone up as soon as he did. I slipped on my pants and ran downstairs.

"HE CALLED ME" I said
"When?" Trey said
"Just now. He really didn't say much. He just said he couldn't say where he was and he loved me and Mya" I said
"Jamir probably gone kill him if he tell where he is" Qua said
"Can we do something now?" I asked
"The plan is Friday. We attacking. Friday night. Jada you gone call Jamir and tell him she wanna be with him" Trey said
"What?" I asked
"Bro fr?" Qua asked
"It's the only way. She gotta get close to him some how" Trey said
"Why can't I just tell him I want to be on his side"
"You think he gone believe that?" Trey asked
"Man yea. Because he know she will because " Qua said
"Baby that is a good idea" Kehlani said
"Ight let's go with that then" Trey said
"You gone call him right now. We all got his number " Trey said
"Yeah. I'll call" I said

Let's pray he believes me. I just want my baby home.
