Syx POV

I was waiting outside on my ma and pops to pull up. I was waiting with my girlfriend. My parents didn't know about her, and I honestly didn't care if they found out or not.

"You better move your arm, I see your parents car" Erica said
"So" I said
"You know they don't know about us" Erica said
"Well shit they just gone have to find out today. Besides I'm tired of hiding us anyways" I said kissing her cheek
"Awww" Erica said

My ride pulled up slowly. I kissed Erica lips and walked to my car and hopped in.

"You got a girlfriend son?" My da asked
"Yea" I said
"My boy" My da said
"You actually happy?" I asked
"Why would I be mad. You growing up" My da said
"I don't like it. Syx you're to young for a girlfriend" My ma said
"Ma" I said
"You know you young" My ma said
"Ma I been with a Erica for a while now" I said
"How long is a while?" My ma asked
"4 months" I said
"So this whole time you've been dating somebody and didn't tell me?" My ma asked
"I didn't tell you because listen to how you sound ma" I said
"Bae why you mad I don't see nothing wrong with it" My da said
"I do. He's my son. My baby boy. I don't want him growing up to quickly " My ma said
"Ma I'll always be your baby. " I said
"Baby you gotta understand he gone start dating. He in middle school" My da said
"Okay okay fine" My ma said
"I still love you ma" I said
"I love you to I just don't agree with it" My ma said

The rest of the car ride was chill. We got home and I chilled in my room texting in the group chat until my pops knocked on the door.

"Yea?" I said
"I need to talk to you for a minute son" My da said
"Is this about Erica?" I asked
"Nah this something else. " My da said
"Ight wassup then?" I asked

My da took a deep breath and then started to speak.

"I'm about to tell you some stuff that you can't tell your mom. This stays between me and you Ight son?" My da said
"Ight" I said
"So back in the day way before you were even thought about I use to work with your uncle Trey, Qua and Jay " My da said
"Doing what?" I asked
"Selling weed" My da said
"You use to sell weed?" I asked surprised
"Yea I use to. " I said
"Okay. What's this about though?" I asked
"Your uncle Trey wanted to start that back up. But I know the girls would kill us if they knew about it. So if we plan on starting it back up don't say a word. Act like you know nothing. I'm trying to keep y'all safe. Some shit went down a long time ago that got me scared for life. I care about y'all and I'll die before I let anybody hurt y'all" My da said
"Okay I understand " I said
"You getting older it's about time you know" My da said
"Thank you for telling me" I said
"It was only for your safety " My da said getting up
"Da?" I said
"Wassup?" My da asked turning back around
"Erica wanted to go to the movies. Her ma was gone take us. It's cool if I can go?" I asked
"You know I don't care but you gotta talk to your mom. She would kill me if she found out I let you go somewhere without talking to her" My da said
"Where she at?" I asked
"In the kitchen starting to cook" My da said

I closed my door and walked downstairs into the kitchen where my ma was cutting up some vegetables and on the phone with my aunties.

"Ma?" I said
"Yes?" My ma said
"Can I ask you something?" I asked
"I'll call y'all back" My ma said hanging up the phone
"What is it Syx?" My ma asked cutting up the stuff
"I already asked da he cool with it. He just want me to make sure you cool with it" I said
"Cool with what?" My ma asked drying her hands off
"Cool with me going out with Erica to the movies" I said
"Syx" My ma said shaking my head
"Ma come on now. I'm 14 " I said
"And what's that suppose to mean?" My ma asked
"That I should be older enough to go out with my girl without you tripping" I said
"Syx don't talk to your mama like that" My da said walking into the kitchen
"Da you agreed on it" I said
"I did. But you know that if you mom doesn't agree on it then I can't let you go. We both agree on things together" My da said
"Thank you. You are to young. It's already enough that you have a girlfriend, now you want to go on dates with her" My ma said
"Man omg " I said walking back into my room

I sat on my bed and pressed Erica name on FaceTime.

"Hey babe" Erica said propping her phone up
"Wassup" I said smiling
"You ready for the movies?" Erica asked smiling
"About the movies" I said
"Omg what is it now?" Erica asked
"My ma and pops found out about us. My da cool with it my ma just tripping because she think I'm growing up to fast. In this household they both gotta agree on the same thing if they don't agree I'm not allowed to go" I said
"Well it's okay baby. We can talk to your parents one day and just explain things. Maybe your mom will feel better. Everything we be fine" Erica said
"This why I love you" I said smiling
"I love you more" Erica said smiling
"Sexy ass" I said
"Bye babe" Erica said chuckling
"Bye I love you" I said
"I love you too" Erica said

End of FaceTime call

My ma needed to get it together. My girlfriend might be cool with me blowing her off now but I don't think she can take much more of it.
