Author's Notes: Hellooooo again!! So sorry I am have been AWOL all this time. I am on a break and have been travelling around.

Anyway, I decided to pick inspiration and start writing again. I don't want to start a new work until I finish this one, but I am stuck!!!!!!!! Hence I decided to add an extra chapter for now.

It's Seydon's birthday!!!!! 15th of March. So let me give him a little treat as his creator.

Here goes nothing...

Seydon

I tapped on the play button and put on my bluetooth earphones. The chorus of the new song I just downloaded helped me cancel out the noisy thoughts of the people surrounding the university. Not all the thoughts, though; I could still faintly hear some. Music was my escape from this curse-like power that I possessed.

I sighed. Not even sitting on the roof helps cancel out their thoughts. I did have control over my powers, but it had become like a tradition. If I didn't hear people's thoughts, I felt anxious.

My cellphone rang, Kaidon's annoying face appearing on the screen.

What does he want?

"What are you planning? Enrolling in a college?" He grumbled as soon as I received it.

And there goes the start to my lovely morning.

"Well, hello to you too, big brother."

"Cut to the chase. What's up on your mind now? We have got a mission this evening."

Bleh. Bleh. Bleh. Bleh. Bleh. Boring! Always complaining. How in the world are we related?

My eyes drifted towards the main entrance and settled upon a silly girl running in at a crazy speed—the one girl whose mind I couldn't remember when I started failing to read.

"Seydon. Sey-"

"Fuck off, Kaidon." I hung up the call despite his protest and jumped down the terrace to follow in after her. I chuckled as I noticed her take a wrong turn. She twirled around, and I hid again behind a pillar.

Wait, why am I hiding? It's not like I am on a reconnaissance mission!

I heard her footsteps headed in my direction. From my hiding place, I slightly stuck my feet out, and as my evil brain expected, she tripped on it, about to fall face forward, but I stretched out my arms and caught her instead. I backed her against the pillar and caged her between my arms.

"The same old birdbrain, eh?"

"Th-thank y-" she uttered as she rubbed her nose that collided with my chest, and her words faded as her bright, sparkling eyes landed on my face. The same beautiful hue that matched mine. It was as if we were made for each other.

We just kept staring at each other for the next few moments. I could have just watched her like that for all eternity.

Just like that evening all those years ago.

"Sey-Seydon? Is that-"

Glad she recognised me.
