"Jade, please say something," Leigh begged, crouching down next to the weeping girl. Jade had her head buried in Leigh's shirt, leaving wet patches on the white fabric. The girl was clutching onto Leigh, like she was going to disappear if she let go. "It's okay, Jade," Leigh comforted, placing a kiss onto Jade's hair.
"I-i'm sorry," Jade choked out, before loud, heartbreaking sobs filled the park.
Leigh continued to hold her, placing Jade in her lap as she stroked the girl's curly hair, while the other hand was on her back.
"It's alright, Jade. I'm not upset with you," Leigh assured her.
Jade's face popped up from under Leigh's hair. Her innocent looking eyes, that were clouded by tears, looked up at Leigh. "R-really?"
Leigh nodded. "Promise,"
"Even though I killed you, and was so bitchy towards you?"
Leigh giggled. "Yes. I'm not blaming you for anything, I promise,"
Jade smiled, wiping her tears and hugging Leigh tight again.

Who knew that Korea had a racoon café? Also, who knew that Jade was an expert on slipping things under the carpet?
The angry sky outside contrasted to the smiles being shared over the table. Leigh sipped on her hot chocolate.
"Do you want to go anywhere else, love?" Jade asked, not seeming to have noticed what she had just said.
Leigh's heart began to flutter. "u-uhm, yeah. Can we go to my old home?". Although she loved exploring the world, and learning about different cultures everyday, Leigh wanted to know about herself. She wanted to know about her family, friends and hometown.
Jade nodded. "Sure, would you like to go to Ireland with me first?" Leigh accepted, sipping on her hot chocolate once more. She observed Jade. She couldn't help but notice the way that the girl would occasionally tuck a single strand of curly hair behind her ear, or the way that her nose would crinkle up slightly whenever she would laugh. It was the little things that drew her in.
Leigh sighed, knowing what she needed to tell Jade. "Jade?"
Jade looked up from her mug, and smiled, softly at Leigh. When people say that you feel butterflies in your stomach whenever you see someone you love, they surely had to mean that you felt flowers blooming, birds hatching from their eggs, or perhaps even, a volcano erupting. "yes, Leigh?"
Leigh's hands shook from nerves. Her lips trembled, and she felt goosebumps on her skin. "I have something to confess," she said, her voice laced with nervousness.
Jade looked down at the floor. "I do too," she began playing with her fingers, staring down at them as if they were the most fascinating things she had ever seen.
"Should I go first?" Leigh wondered. Jade nodded in response. Leigh took a deep breath, closing her eyes during the exhale. "I think I have a crush on you," Jade looked up at her, gazing into her eyes. "I know it seems silly, but you've become really special to me these past few weeks,"
She looked down at the ground, not daring to look Jade in the eye. "Maybe we should go somewhere more private," Jade said. Although Leigh still wasn't looking at her, she could practically hear the smile in her voice.
--
The snow rested upon the mountain tops. Casual breeze made it's way down Leigh's shirt, making a chill run down her spine. Jade patted a spot next to her, signaling for Leigh to sit.
Leigh walked over, and sat on the edge with her."I haven't been completely honest with you, Leigh," Jade started, bringing her legs up to her chest.
"Oh?" Leigh answered. She already knew that Jade wasn't being honest with her, still, she tried to act suprised.
"That time at Disney when you said you had a feeling I was lying to you. You were right, I was lying," Jade continued, hugging her legs tighter.
"Then what's the truth?"
Jade sighed, looking over at the livley city beneath them. "Tomorrow is your birthday," she said.
Leigh quirked a brow. "And? What does that have to do with anything?"
Jade buried her head in her hands. She took some deep breaths, while shaking.
"Jade?" Leigh said, cautiously.
Jade looked up from her hands, into Leigh's eyes, before moving them back down to the rock they were sitting on.
"Tomorrow, 8 years ago, I asked you to be my girlfriend," she confessed.
Leigh felt as if her heart had just dropped. Her girlfriend? She had expected a huge conspiracy, but she was her girlfriend?
She looked into Jade's honest eyes, full with unspoken love.Jade had tears in her eyes, they were filled with guilt, and regret. Leigh couldn't stand seeing her like this. She leaned in, looking from the girl's fluttering eyelashes, and then back down to her smooth lips. Jade hesitantly moved in for the kiss, their lips first just brushing against each other, slightly, before Leigh deepened it. She felt the kiss expanded beyond their bodies, whirling them round, swirling them into the stars.
They pulled away, just moments later, and stared into each others eyes.
Question: too soon?
