S.W.A.T. A new team member

Chapter 4

Hondo stood in the locker room with the others "Right now our new addition is coming." He tied his shoes. Tan asked "What's the name of our new or new?" Hondo looked up "Well, it's a she and her name is Romy Strong. She moved here from Germany a few weeks ago. She was 2nd place in training this year." Chris asked "The Strong? The one I've been watching?" Hondo nodded "Yes you and Luca already know her." Deacon closed his spinning and walked over to Hondo "When is she coming?" asked Deacon, no sooner had he spoken. Strong came into the locker room. She went to Hondo "Hey, I think I'm supposed to check in with you. You're Hondo right?" she asked. Hondo laughed "It's all good Strong. You're in the right place, these are your team members. You already know two of them." He pointed to the others. "That's right, I already know Chris and Luca and what are the names of the rest of you?" Chris walked over to Strong and pointed to the others one by one "This is Street, Tan and Deacon." Strong thanked him "Thanks Chris." Hondo interrupted them "So right now we are going to patrol. Street, Chris and Strong you are a team. Luca and Tan are also a team. Deacon, you come with me." Everyone shouted, "Yes, boss."
Chris, Street and Strong went outside to a car. Chris sat in the driver's seat, Strong sat next to her, and Street sat in the back. He asked "Why do I have to sit in the back?" Chris and Strong called out at the same time "Lady First or Street." Street grumbled "Yeah, that's fine." They drove off,
Chris asked "Strong or can I call you Romy?" Strong laughed "Oh Chris, just call me Romy. We've known each other a bit longer now haven't we?" Chris smiled "Romy, are you feeling a little better now?" Strong got quiet and thought. She looked at her hands "Well, I still can't talk about it but I would show you my scar soon and maybe I won't even use the bandage then..." Street interjected "What are you guys talking about?" Chris looked briefly at Strong and said nothing. Strong did not answer either.

A couple of hours later, the three were still driving in silence through the streets of LA, Street asked "Do you want to go get something to eat?" Strong laughed "That's the best idea I've heard from you so far." Chris laughed and agreed as well. They drove to the nearest snack bar and all three got a hamburger each. They ate their lunch in silence. Street asked "Strong are you really from Germany?" Strong nodded and replied "Yes, I grew up in Germany. To be honest I am glad to be here and not in Germany anymore." Street asked "Why are you glad to be out of Germany?" Chris looked at Strong and interjected "Gee Street, don't interfere everywhere!" She threw a Hamburger paper at him. Street threw the paper back and apologized "Strong I didn't mean to offend you..." Strong shook his head "That's alright Street but please don't ask any more questions for now." They finished their lunch. They threw the papers away and started driving again.
They drove down a major street in LA. They were passing City Hall when Strong saw something strange. She was startled and shouted "CAUTION!" but it was already too late. There was a bang.
