Chapter 11

A week later, Strong was having breakfast in the kitchen when Chris came into the kitchen. Chris asked "You have to leave right away don't you?" Strong nodded and replied with his mouth full "Yeah, I have to lead the team on a mission in a minute." Chris said "You seem to be, not so much in the field anymore." Strong became more serious "Yes, that's true. But that's just for the safety of the team and me." Chris asked "What do you mean?" Strong looked at his watch and walked off Strong still called out to Chris "Sorry I have to go! We'll talk more later..."
She drove the car in the direction of the main precinct, when she noticed she was being followed she took her radio and called "Strong to Central!" Lynch voice rang out "Strong this is Lynch, go ahead." Strong nervously said "I'm being followed! A black pekawe. I can't make out the license plate! I need help, I'm heading north on the freeway!" Lynch said "Roger that I'm sending them backup." Strong tried to lose her pursuer but it didn't work. Suddenly, another car was coming at her from the other side. She braked to avoid a collision. In the process, her car skidded, her car slammed into the guardrail and fell down the slope.

Lynch walked into the locker room and said, "Hondo, they have an urgent call!" Hondo turned around and "Why don't they just page me?" Lynch rolled his eyes "No time for questions, their mission has to do with Strong!" Luca asked nervously "What about Strong?" "Strong radioed us earlier, she's being followed. We suspect it's a buddy of her brother's and she's probably in mortal danger! We have her cell phone in order!" replied Lynch.
Hondo and his team looked at each other, ran to the Blackbetty and took off. After a while, Street shouted "Guys the signal is gone!" Hondo took the tablet from Street and said "This is not good at all!" Hondo looked for the place where the last signal came from. When they arrived at that place Luca shouted "Holy shit!" He stopped. He shouted to the others "Go, go..." They got out and were startled. Hondo shouted "STRONG!" He ran to the guardrail and climbed over it. He looked inside the car, it was empty. He shouted "Guys she's not in the car!" Deacon came running to him and said worriedly "I hope she didn't get thrown out of the car!" They started searching the area for Strong, when they didn't find Strong. Reflected Hondo "And what if her brother or one of his men took her?" Luca looked at Hondo seriously "I don't even want to think about that! Do you actually know where she got her scar on her eye?" The others shook their heads "That's what happened, the last time her family found her again. She barely escaped with her life!" Hondo found Strong's cell phone "We should go back to the station..." They drove back to the precinct. Arriving at the precinct, Lynch asked "So?" Hondo put Strong's cell phone on the table and said "She had an accident but she wasn't at the scene anymore!" Lynch gulped and thought "We better get Chris here quick in case these guys search Strong's apartment for clues..." Street shouted "I'll do that!" He left the dispatch center and drove off. On the drive he called Chris, it rang Street whispered nervously "Chris pick up, Chris pick up.... Chris?" Chris asked "Street what is it?" Street took a breath "Are you at Strong's house?" Chris replied with a counter question "Yes, why do you ask?" Street exhaled with relief and said "Lock the door, stay away from the windows and don't let anyone in to see you until I get there!" Chris wanted to ask "What's the-" Street interrupted her and shouted "Just do what I say!" Chris said "Okay but please tell me what's going on right now okay?" Street calmed down "I promise!" he promised Chris.
A few minutes later, Street arrived and ran into the high-rise. When he got to the top of Strong's apartment, he knocked on the door and called out, "Chris, it's Street." Chris opened the door, Street handed her a bulletproof vest and said "Put it on, we need to get to my cars!" Chris did as he said and followed. Halfway there she called out "Street I can't take it anymore!" She leaned against a wall and gasped for air. Street came to her "Chris... I have an idea!" He picked Chris up and carried her to his car. As they drove, Chris asked "What's going on?" Street thought and then answered "Strong had an accident after she was chased." Chris got tears in his eyes and asked "How is she?" Street swallowed and answered "She's missing...we only found her car and cell phone..." Chris tried to pull himself together. Street asked "Is there actually anything going on between you and Strong?" Chris looked at him confused and remained silent. Street said "Okay, so don't tell me..." He continued.
