S.W.A.T. A new team member

Chapter 8

They fell into the depths, hitting the ground hard. Hondo looked around and saw that everyone was reasonably okay. He asked "Are you all okay?" Luca replied "If by that you mean in slight pain and still operational? Then yes." Hondo looked around, they had ended up in some sort of basement. Nearby was a wooden door. Hondo said "We'll keep going but be careful, we can't be exclusive that it's really a trap." Hondo went ahead, the others following him. Hondo and the others secured the first rooms which were empty. When they came out of the third room, there were at least 50 armed men with firearms in the hallway. Hondo shouted, "Discovery people, DISCOVERY!" The men fired at Hondo and his teammates. Hondo picked up his radio and shouted "WE ARE UNDER FIRE! WE NEED REINFORCEMENT!" Strong's voice rang out "Rocker and his team are on the way! Hondo the leader was born Strong. His name was Jacob Strong, now he goes by a different name but is also, known as Danger. He left the family a few years ago and got married. He is very dangerous, be careful!" Hondo looked at the others and said "Understood." Hondo thought about it and decided "We'll block the door and wait for the reinforcements!" They blocked the door and waited for the backup.

Half an hour later, Rocker's team arrived. They radioed Hondo "We're coming down to you now! Get ready to escape, we're just getting you out of there. Our goal is just to get you out alive." Hondo replied "Roger that, let me know when you're ready!"

Strong stood in the control center, leaning on a table, she looked tensely at her hands. She thought and pounded her fist on the table. She whispered, "Damn it!" Lynch came up to her and addressed her "Strong..." Strong looked up "Lt Lynch it's you..." She leaned against the table, Lynch came closer and asked "How do you know Danger?" Strong looked downcast "Well, he's my second oldest brother, his name used to be Jakob Strong. I don't know what his last name is now but if we don't catch him and he finds out mom and dad are behind bars because of me..." She turned pale and didn't speak further. Lynch understood, "He'll come after you and punish you, this is a very special family story...you don't have to be afraid, we'll protect you!" Promised Lynch. "We are there now. We're starting the rescue attempt now!" Came in a radio message from Rocker. Strong picked up the radio and said "Okay, be careful."

"Rocker to Hondo, we're going in now. When you hear the noise grenade you run immediately. Ropes are about to hang where you crashed, you don't have much time!" "Roger that!" Shouted Hondo, and turned to his team, "You heard him!"
They did as discussed and made it out of the apartment just in time. They ran to the cars and drove back to the precinct. They got out Hondo went to Rocker "Thanks man, without you my team would have died there in that house!" Rocker blushed with charm "Oh Hondo, you don't have to thank me." Hondo patted him on the back. He walked into the headquarters with his team, Strong came up to them excitedly and asked "Are you all okay?" Hondo smiled and replied "We're fine, thanks to you." Strong blushed "Not true at all. I'm just glad you guys are still alive." Hondo and the others smiled, Luca walked over to her and put an arm around her shoulder "That means you've settled in well with the S.W.A.T. family." Strong took Luca's arm off his shoulder and said "Oh, that reminds me. I still have a date with Chris, I'll tell her you said hi." She ran off. Luca and the others looked after her in wonder. Tan laughed, "Street, someone's competing with you..." Street punched him in the upper arm.
She drove her staff car to the hospital where Chris was lying. She went to her room and knocked gently on the door "Chris, it's me..." Chris invited her in. Strong entered the room. Seeing how beat up Strong looked Chris asked "Is everything okay Romy?" Strong sat down on the chair next to Chris' bed. Strong shook his head "No, my one brother showed up again. They said he was dead or something..." She buried her head in despair, in her arms. Chris said "I saw the news, what happened?" Strong looked at her "It was a normal raid, but it turned out to be a trap by my brother! He was going to kill Hondo and the others!" Chris asked nervously "How are the others?" Strong waved his hands reassuringly "They're all fine Rocker and his team got them out of there. The bigger problem is more like he's going to try and kill me!" explained Strong. Chris looked at her worriedly "And what are you going to do about it?" Strong thought "I'll take Lynch's help..." Chris looked at her questioningly but she changed the subject. She asked "Could you pick me up on Wednesday? That's when I get released." Strong was pleased and smiled "Sure I'd love to, where do you want me to, take you then?" Strong stood up to take note of Chris' answers. Chris replied "Well, I'm actually staying at Deacon's right now but the house is actually overcrowded..." Strong grinned in amusement and suggested something to Chris "What do you think about sleeping over at my place for now?" Chris looked at her excitedly "That sounds good!" "Okay, I'll pick you up, then on Wednesday." with these words Strong said goodbye.
