Im okay

I didn't really know how to feel, i had just got to a point where i felt i understood Lizzie, then she was taken away.

I also didn't really know what i wanted, i had promised Josie a date yet also kissed her sister twice, oh and slept with her but that was before, doesn't count right?

I felt drawn to Lizzie, i have no clue what it was it was evident, i couldn't stop thinking of her.

I start to get lost in my thoughts until i hear a faint knock on my dorm room door, i  jump slightly as i reply back "Who is it"

"Its me, Josie... i noticed you weren't at school today, just wanted to check up if you are alright" I hear back, it was Josie.

I drag myself to open the door as i'm greeted with a smile, my mood instantly changes to that of a happier one.

"Hey, you wanting to come in?" I ask Josie, wanting some company.

"Sure" Her voice beamed.

"So you skipped on your first week? Whats up Hope" Josie asks, with a level on worry in her voice.

"After what happened last night i just couldn't go to school Jo" I answer.

"Thats understandable, yeah i was just worried thats all" Josie worried.

"You were worried about me?" I say with a hint of pride.

"No... well yes" The girl stutters.

"Aw you're adorable Jo" I compliment 

I see the brunette instantly flush a vivid red as she looks away.

"Wow i make you blush aswell, i'll take it" I joke as i hear her mutter under her breath "Shut up"

I was amused at the fact that i could make her flustered so easily, call it a power complex.

"I mean, we've got a bit of time to spare if you'd want to maybe grab dinner or something, only if you're down though" Josie suggests.

"I'd be down" I reply, with a small smirk. I needed a slight distraction.

Josie stood up and uttered "I know a place".

"You're not kidnapping me are you" I joke.

"Nope, well, maybe you'll have to see" Josie jokes back as a small smile appears on her face.

We both made our way to Josie's car, a mercedes, im not suprised.

"You got any songs" The girl asks.

"Umm, not really i mean theres Yoko Ono but i don't think you'd get it" I chuckle knowing that she didn't watch it.

"Lizzie likes it, i just never vibed to it" Josie adds as she flips to the playlist she has 'Depression session', as teh most gay song 'We fell in love in october' plays.

The car ride was silent, i could almost taste that she was nervous, oh and the fact her hands were practically shaking while driving.

We pulled up to a familiar place "Donovans Grill" as she asked 

"This is the best place, come on lets get a table" The girl says as she opens my car door, i didn't want to tell her that i already have been here with Lizzie as it felt like i'd ruin the whole mood.

The waiter asks "Table for two" as Josie nods.

We're given a small table beside the diner window as the waiter, (maybe in her mid 20's) hands me a menu.

My eyes scan the page as i come across the option of fries... the food i got with Lizzie.

"What are you getting" Josie asks, across the table.

"Umm, i think i'm going to get the fries" I reply, "What about you?" 

"Lizzie gets the fries all the time, she hates trying new things she never gets anything different, i think i'll get the burger" Josie replies, i gulp knowing i hated trying new things also.

Josie's nerves didn't seem to calm, it was funny.

"You nervous" I ask, trying to start conversation as the food arrives and the waiter places it infront of us.

"N-no why..." Josie replies.

"Just wondering, your hands are shaking thats all" I smirk as the girl looks at her hands and laughs.

"Maybe a little, i mean why wouldn't i be nervous i'm on a date wit-" I see her instantly regret saying the last part.

"A date" I chuckle. "I thought this was just a outing with two girls who nearly kissed the other day being the friendly friends they can" I say with sarcasm lining my words.

"Oh shut up you know what i mean Hope" Josie smiles.

"You know i don't think i do, i think you should say it" I tease.

"Say what, that i like you? i thought it was obvious by now Hope" Josie's face goes bright red as she sees this, as she tries to act confident.

"Oh right, i never knew, couldn't tell at all..." I smile trying to reassure her while i bite into a fry.

"Well if it isn't totally obvious Jo, i li-" I'm cut off by my phone vibration.

Ironic, the first minute i forget about Lizzie she texts me.

I just got on the plane :)
remember you better stay until i get back

Yes i'll be here when you return

Good, seen as we're now 'friends' we can hang out when i get back

Alright well the plane is setting off 

in a minute, i'll call you when i land? 

Alright, dont die

Josie must've noticed i was distracted as she uttered 

"Who's that" 

"Oh its just erm, its my dad... He says i can stay here for a while" I lie... i felt guilty but i'd feel even worse if i told her. Lizzie hadn't replied for a while now so i presumed her plane set off.

"Oh yay" Josie beamed.

"What was i saying again?" I confusingly ask.

"Oh nothing important, i got it" Josie smiled.

"Alright i'm pretty much done now, its getting late... want to head back, if you'd want my dorms free all night, maybe watch a movie or something i dont know" i add.

"Yeah, that sounds cool"
