Its been about a week since i've seen Josie, to say i've been avoiding her is the understatement of the century.
Every time i even think i see her i instantly chance my route, making me late to class but it was worth it.
I don't turn up to classes im seated next to her in... i just haven't thought of what i could even say to her after i basically told her i have nothing to do with her sister and there she is... facetiming me right as we're about to...
Although one good thing is that Lizzie has kept her promise to keep in touch, we are practically always either calling, texting or facetiming eachother... I don't know what it is about her being there that i found so comforting.
I think Lizzie only had about 2 and a half weeks until she came back... i totally wasn't counting or anything.
Nothing had really happened between Lizzie and i since she told me i was special... i don't know how she was feeling to be honest, i overthink too much.
I Wanted to speak to Josie.. i just couldn't master up enough courage to do so, let alone think what i'd even say.
It was friday meaning the school day finished at 12, a half day... meaning i could go into town for a little after.
School just started and i already hated it, i only had one class with Josie meaning i could try skip it i think as i roam the halls of the school going to my class.
"Miss Marshall!, Just the girl i was looking for... do you mind speaking to me in my office for a minute" Mr Saltzman spoke.
"uhh yeah sure" I say as i get dragged into the office.
"Take a seat" He requests as i sit down.
"So... i've just spoken to your spells teacher, turns out this week you've missed 7 of her lessons... what a coincidence... so has my daughter" The headteacher explains.
I'm shocked at why Josie had missed her lessons until it clicked, she was also avoiding me... made sense.
"Oh i have no correlation with Josie i swear, i just hate Spells to be completely honest" I lie knowing it was actually one of my favourite classes.
"Something tells me you're lying Marshall, or should i say Mikaelson?" Dr Saltzman says.
"I promise it won't happen again i swear" I promise.
"Yeah it won't... detention after school, for you, you'll treat it like a full day. Quite fun actually the treehouse hasn't been cleaned since the mess happened, you can clean than with another student in detention also" The headteacher grins.
"Really? its a half day fuck sake... Who's going to be cleaning it with me then?" i ask.
"Surprise, now get out of my sight Marshall".
I quickly escape the office, dreading the work i got to do... imagine if i get stuck with Penelope or worse Jade... fuck this isn't going to be fun.
The day surprisingly goes pretty quick, probably the universe trying to fuck me over and get me to detention earlier.
I reach Dr Saltzmans office just as the clock hits 12 and i'm pretty proud of myself.
Just until i turn around with a grin, it is instantly wiped off my face as i see my partner walk around the corner.
Josie. i sigh as she turns around the walk the other way but her father stops her.
"Right girls, you both know where the treehouse is, i want it cleaned by 5 and not a second later okay?" The headteacher explains as he hands us the buckets and other cleaning supplies.
