This feels right.

The morning flew up... you could say i rushed into all of this, but i just went through hell and back to get here, i wasn't going to let this ruin that.

With Lizzie i didn't think about the future, i felt the moment... although the future is definitely fast approaching and as a fully activated tribrid... it'd be useful to know.

I see light creep through the curtains and i roll over to see an empty bed, where was Lizzie?

I decide to just get up, avoid overthinking over things out of my control as i wander to her closet to pick an outfit.

Today was going to be emotional.

I slide into some jeans as i look for a top to fit me, the door slams open.

"Ever heard of knocking" I squeal.

"Oh Hope don't over-exaggerate... i've seen it all before, many many many times" I recognise Lizzie's voice, now closing the door behind her.

"I wondered where you were" I utter, picking a plain white t-shirt.

"Just told my father i was moving across the world spontaniously with a girl i'd barely known a year... he took it suprisingly well" Lizzie mouths sarcastically.

"Oh shit what did he say" I ask her.

"Oh he was surprised at first of course... but came around to the idea, even offering to buy us first class tickets" The blonde says enthusiastically.

"When are we leaving?" I add.

"I'm thinking the latest 1pm... the flight is 10 hours as it is" Lizzie explains.

"Oh okay" I sigh.

"Whats wrong" Lizzie asks, moving closer to me.

"I don't know, its just... less than a year ago i didn't feel like i belonged anywhere and now... now i do, but im starting to realise that its not the place, its the people" I tell the blonde.

"Like i said, we don't have to go" Lizzie moves closer.

"Oh no we are definitely going, did i tell you... my dad even offered me a job over there" I forget to tell her.

I move over to the now opened, empty suitcases brought by Lizzie... one for me, one for her.

"No way, thats amazing Hope... we may not be homeless now" Lizzie laughs...

"Anyway, we got a couple hours, you go pack... say you're goodbyes... i'll meet you soon okay?" Lizzie says, walking over and placing a chaste kiss on my lips.

"This is going to be epic" I say walking out the door, towards my dorm.

As i begin to pack... all the memories of this place hit me, i hadn't been here long but i felt so loved here. I made sure to reserve a goodbye... just for Josie.

Packing up my clothes, to my shoes... to my paints, It didn't take me long before my previously filled room was bare, like it was the first time i saw it.

I packed all my shit up in around an hour, next up on my list was goodbyes... Josie.

I sent her a quick text... just reading 'I need to speak to you, I'm in my dorm'

I threw my phone on my bed before taking it all in, i was really moving across the world with such a perfect girl... ready to start my life... my immortal life. Instantly bringing me back to thoughts of immortality and eventually Lizzie, she wasn't immortal... she was a witch, i'd read up on heretics... but i wasn't about to force her hand.

"You wanted to see me" A familiar voice sighed at my door.

"Josie" I breathe.

"Whats wrong... why is your room all packed up" Josie asks in a confused tone, Stepping into my room.

I shoot her a 'you know why' nod.

"You're leaving aren't you" Josie sighs.

"Yes" I say quickly.

Josie stands there, peicing it all together... she knew Lizzie was leaving.

"You're going with Lizzie aren't you" Josie bows her head.

"Its for the best, staying here... without her, i can't do that Josie... especially knowing it would bring you pain" I step closer to her, tears forming in my eyes.

"When are you leaving" Josie stutters, clearly becoming emotional.

"A couple hours" I see her face drop.

She wipes her tears from her eyes, stepping closer to me... now a metre apart.

Grabbing my hand firmly and looking me in the eyes.

"You take care of her for me okay?" She giggles through the tears.

I can't form words now, without bursting out crying... i simply nod as my face clearly explains my upset.

"Come here" Josie wraps her arms around me in a soft hug, resting my head on her shoulders.

I didn't think leaving Josie would be this hard, We had undeniable chemistry, but it was clear who i had it more with.

"Promise me something Jo" I whisper into her ear.

We break the hug, tear stained faces.

"What is it" She forms a smile.

"I'm pretty sure Jade's into you... i want you to take her on nice dates, Treat her like the queen she is... just as you did with me okay?" I sob.

"I want you to forget all about me...start a fresh healthy relationship Jo... you deserve every ounce of happiness life throws at you" I stutter.

"I promise" Josie nods, now trying to regather her thoughts.

"I'll come back, i will see you again... when i do, i want you to tell me all about the girl you're so totally in love with and how special she makes you feel okay?" I say as i start to move towards my door.

She barely speaks but her tear stained face says it all.

I go to turn away as she utters the words.

"Goodbye Hope" She chokes up.

"Goodbye Josie" I grab my suitcase as i head back towards the schools front gates, where Lizzie and i planned to meet... checking my phone we had around half an hour before our uber to the airport came.

I turn the corner to see Alaric and Caroline handing Lizzie everything she needed from the school, Lizzie clearly becoming more upset by the second... seeing her emotional made me so upset.

She spots me as she wipes away her tears and Alaric comes over to say his goodbyes.

Reaching out his hand for me to shake

"Thank you Hope" His horse voice spoke, it was so little words yet i gathered so much meaning, he was thanking me for Lizzie.

"Its been one hell of a ride" I choke up, trying not to cry.

I start to move all my bags over to where Caroline and Lizzie were stood.

"You're welcome back anytime" Carolines voice spoke.... she looked just like my girlfriend it was unreal.

I look directly at Lizzie hinting at her to head out the door, as we began to leave the Salvatore school.

We check back for a final goodbye as we spot Alaric hugging Caroline with Josie stood hand in hand with Jade, making me smile.

"We're really doing this" Lizzie smirks, wiping away all her tears.

"I wouldn't have it any other way Saltzman" I interlock my shaking hand  with hers as we head out the gates... ready for our new chapter... human or immortal i was glad to be by her side.
