I run after the girl to which i cared to deeply, my mind filling with confusion, the scout was talking to her? surely that was a good thing.
I catch up with the girl who was now just entering her dorm room, attempting to slam the door behind her however i place my foot so it doesn't lock.
"Lizzie" I say softly.
"Hope" Lizzie realises i was behind her.
"Hey... you played so well... i saw you speak to the scout" I tell her, Now slipping into her room, closing the door behind her.
"Yeah" Lizzie drops her head.
"So... what happened?" I ask my girlfriend.
"I got chosen to play for Oxford University" Lizzie sighs
I swoop her in for a hug yet she doesn't return it.
"Whats wrong then... i swear you always wanted to be scouted, you were talking about it earlier" I ask her.
"Hope they chose me to play... they're down a couple players... they asked me to play this season" Lizzie explains.
"What do you mean this season? Like next year o-" i'm cut off.
"No Hope... they want me to play this season... as in next term... as in a month" Lizzie sighs once more as she flops on her bed with minimal effort.
"Oh... so you're leaving" I ask.
"No, I'm not leaving... i told him i don't want to go, or if there was a space for next year but they said they would find someone else" Lizzie sobs.
"Wait what? Why the fuck would you turn that opportunity down?" I plead as i rush next to her.
"Well i'm not going to leave you here, i promised i'd stay the term... plus i don't want to, not without you" The blonde adds.
"Um no Saltzman you're not doing this because of me... call him now, tell him you've made a mistake and say that you'd be honoured to go... please" I beg.
"No i don't want to" Lizzie says stubbornly.
"Come on Lizzie, go... i'd hate for you to regret this please" I beg once more.
"there'd be no point, i would just miss you, i wouldn't play right even if i decided to go" Lizzie explains.
"I already told you, i'm not going to leave you" Lizzie adds.
"What if i said i'd come with you" I say in a rush, Did i realise i was really saying this... i just didn't want her to miss this for me.
"What" Lizzie peaks up and smiles.
"You heard me... you and me, new start in London, i already said i don't have a clue what i'm doing after school anyway, this might be what i need... get a small studio apartment in kings-cross as i find a job suited for me... honestly Lizzie i'd do it right here right now" I excitedly say, knowing i meant every word of it.
"Okay, wow okay... we're really doing this then?" Lizzie hurridly stutters while grabbing the business card and stepping outside the room to make a phone call with the scout.
Truthfully, It was sudden, yet in the moment i couldn't think of anything better and more 'right' than this.
I sit there, as i grab my phone and decide to make a call myself... my father.
I call, it dials for a couple second before a familiar voice answers.
"Hey sweetheart" My father greets me.
"Hi dad" I sigh.
"Whats up love" Klaus replies, a little worried.
"I've decided i'm not staying in mystic falls... Its not for me anymore" I tell him.
"What happened Hope? I thought you liked the girls there... what were her name... Liza?" He replies.
"Lizzie.. its actually better than ever... she got a scholorship for oxford and i offered to go with her... and honestly dad this feels so right" I excitedly tell him.
"I'm glad to hear it... London ay?" his voice quivers.
"Yeah, im thinking... small apartment, minimum wage job... you know the most 'human' thing possible" I joke.
"I mean... I could always use another associate, I was thinking of setting up industry in the UK anyway, i'll let you know about it" Klaus asks.
"That would be amazing" I'm cut off as the girl re-enters the room.
"Right dad, she's back... i got to go, if you're serious i'd take you up on that offer" I tell him.
"Good luck Little wolf" My father ends the call.
There she stood, gleaming.
"I GOT IN" Lizzie squeals, as i run and hug her.
"So we're doing this... you and i against the world" I grasp her hands.
"I wouldn't have it any other way" Lizzie's smile is a clear reflection of her happiness.
"When do we leave" I ask her excitedly.
"This weekend" Lizzie's smile fades a little realising how soon it was... the day struck thursday... that was 2 days.
"Okay then... we better spend these days wisely then" I laugh.
"I mean... i have to enroll on saturday, Friday is the latest we can go" Lizzie bows her head.
"Tomorrow?" I whisper, it now becoming all too real.
"If its still all your choice, we don't have to" The blonde reassures.
"Oh we're doing this, no question" I hug her.
"You're crazy Mikaelson for doing this" Lizzie giggles.
"I'm crazy for you Saltzman" I revoke her words from a couple weeks back, clearly grabbing her attention.
"Good" Lizzie towers over me, pushing me back towards her bed...
I know exactly where this night was headed and lets just say i didn't oppose.
