Maybe? Probably..

A Step Forward..

Stefan's POV:

We had dinner with Molly before going back to the apartment. She had to finish some assignments, so I showered and prepared for bed first. I've decided to just read a book while waiting for her to finish preparing for bed. After that London vacation, I could feel that she's a lot more comfortable with me now. She got out of the bathroom wearing her pink pajamas. She ran out of the room and I just patiently waited for her to come back. She jumped on the bed with the biggest smile on her face, that it was impossible for me not to stare and smile as well. She handed me a pen then moved closer towards me. She removed her ring, then the plaster. She then extended her hand towards me-

Riley: "Retouch time!"

I looked at her wondering-

Stefan: "Love, I gave you a ring so you won't have to keep doing this-"

Riley: "Ehh, hindi ko pa kayang i-let go. I love the ring- promise! But- this marks something else for me. It reminds me of that night- dun sa island. Huwag ka muna mapagod mag retouch nung drawing please?"

That just made me smile again. I slightly tapped the tip of her nose with my point finger before doing what she requested of me. Once done, she took a new plaster to cover it with, then wore her ring on top of it.

Stefan: "You're really something huh-"

Riley: "Bum-bum, thank you for tonight."

Stefan: "For what?"

Riley: "Alam ko namang hindi ka kumportable sa kabaitan saakin ni Dane, and you made sure na alam niya yung limitasyon mo bilang fiance ko. But despite that, naramdaman ko rin na- hindi mo naman pipigilan yung pagkakaibigan namin."

Stefan: "Of course. I know that you only care about him as your friend, nothing more."

She went on her knees to reach out and wrapped her arms around me. I held her in my arms too for a little while before tucking her in beside me. She turned to her side and I did the same, one arm was under her head and the other was wrapped around her.

Stefan: "Good night my love."

Riley: "Good night bumbum-"

She even tried to reach for my butt and smacked it gently. I laughed before planting a kiss on her head.

Riley: "I love you-"

Stefan: "I love you-"

The following months went easy. Grae and Sabby are now back in Manila, preparing for their wedding. I've already met them a few times, but not with Riley yet. She's been busy with some of her classes and at work. We have developed this routine now of making sure that we at least eat one meal together, because things have really been busy for the both of us. 

I'm having dinner with Molly and Riley tonight. We agreed to meet in the Restaurant since I was out for a client meeting. I was about to start the car when my phone rang-

Stefan: *Love-*

Riley: *Bumbum may last minute meeting kami dito, pero I think mabilis lang naman. Tapos na ba yung meeting mo?*

Stefan: *Yeah, just now- do you want me to pick you up?*

Riley: *Hindi na mauna kana sa restaurant kasi nandun na si Molly, kawawa namang maghintay. Susunod ako.*

Stefan: *Okay- I'll ask Trish to arrange a ride for you.*

Riley: *Okay see you soon! I miss you-*

Stefan: *I miss you- I really do.*

Riley: *Okay na recharged na ako. See you bum- bye!*

Stefan: *Heppp-- I don't like that.*
