Dream had asked ranboo to form a portal to which he did, dream and george went through it, it left them outside sapnaps door.

Dream took a deep breath in, he turned to george giving a weak smile, it seemed inauspicious.

Dream raised his hand and knocked on the door, it was soon opened by alex, he was mid form, so his tail dangled between his legs as he scratched his ears.

"Oh shit gogmeister and Dre, i didnt realise you guys were coming over" Alex chuckled with a smile moving away from the door allowing them to enter.

Karl walked past the hallway, his eyes met dreams, he ran bolting for the bedroom slamming the door.

"Jesus fuck- what's up with him today" Alex mumbled shaking his head turning it back to dream and george
"is he alright?" George asked, he and dream had agreed to act as causal as possible.

"No idea-" Alex shrugged "He's been acting super weird all day, won't stop crying. Keep saying we're never going to forgive him, he makes no sense" alex chuckled leading them into the kitchen
"Weird, he's probably tired" george said as he grabbed dreams hand squeezing it slightly.

Sapnap was leant against the counter, he had an eyebrow raised and a letter in his pocket. He quickly scrunched it and shoved it in his pocket upon noticing the group walk in.
"Oh hey guys- what brings you to my humble abode" he smiled, yet something seemed off, dream and george picked up on this.

"Just thought that we'd come and visit, missed my best friend after all" dream smiled, he pulled sapnap into a hug, he didn't hesitate to hug back. They'd always been very platonically affectionate with each-other.

"It's a bit of an awkward time-" sapnap chuckled pulling away from the hug
"-karls just being super weird today, he won't tell us what's wrong" Sapnap looked to alex with a frown

"I'm sure he's alri-" George was interrupted by a crashing in the bedroom, sapnap rushed over, he tried to open the door but it was locked.

"Karl- is everything alright?" he called out
no answer
"karl- baby?" alex asked also knocking on the door

sapnap signalled for alex to move and he did, sapnap hit the door down.

A wooden chair was fallen over, Karl was dangling

"BABE- WHAT THE FUCK-" Alex yelled rushing over as well as sapnap, they pulled him down and he choked and spluttered.

Sapnap pulled the rope off of karls neck, a purple bruise had already began to take form.

"What the hell were you thinking karl-" Sapnap said as he held karl, karl didn't say a word he just stared at dream and george.

"Don't pity him" Dream mumbled
"What the fuck dream-" Alex spat shoving dream, George stood in front of dream eyeing alex down.

"You should've let him" George spat
"Where the hell is this coming from" Alex shoved george into dream, georges eyes began to glow, he stepped forward.

Dream grabbed georges arm as if telling him to stop, george stood back.

"They're right" Karl coughed
"Karl- baby you don't mean that- they're being stupid don't listen to them" Sapnap brushed his fingers over karls face

"He doesn't love you sapnap, he's been working for techno this entire time" Dream mumbled adjusting the gloves on his hands
"bullshit" Sapnap exclaimed, alex however seemed as if a puzzle finally completed in his head

"Ese hijo de puta, yo sabio!-" Alex paused, tears formed in his eyes he was angry- infuriated "Joder- yo sabía que estaba tramando algo."

The group looked between each-other, they weren't familiar with spanish.

"This isn't true- tell me it isn't true" Sapnap pulled his hand away from karl

Karl nodded

"You- you lied?" Sapnap choked
"At first- but i really did fall for you- i swear" Karl pleaded, his voice croaking due to the contusion on his neck

Sapnap moved away from karl standing

"He had been telling techno the future, letting him know our every move- i don't know exactly how long he's been working for him but it's been a while" Dream sighed looking down at karl who cowered on the floor

"Besides, technos dead now. He's got no one to work for" George shrugged shaking his head at the man on the floor

Alex yelled a curse in spanish and threw something

"That time i caught you talking to someone in the forest- it was techno wasn't it" Alex yelled

Karl nodded
"I fucking knew it- jesus fucking christ karl it's been a lie- this entire fucking time" Alex began to break down, sapnap rushed to him and the two held eachother crying

"i really did fall for you both i swear" karl pleaded looking up at them both
"He's pathetic, he's only lying to save his life"
"I SWEAR!-" Karl choked slightly he regained his breath "I told techno i wanted out, way before alex was even in the picture- He told me he'd kill nick if i stopped- i didn't have a choice"

Dream and george looked between eachother

"i don't think i can trust you anymore" Alex scoffed

"Please- baby youve got to believe me"

George raised his sword handing it to dream who approached karl

"no- don't!" sapnap reached a hand out

"He's a traitor sap!" dream complained

"He might be a traitor but that doesn't stop me fucking loving him! Of course i'm hurt but that doesn't take away everything i've ever felt for him!" Sapnap cried out watching as his best friend held the sword over his defenceless lover

"Sapnap- He couldve got us killed" Alex grabbed sapnaps wrist yet sapnap pulled away and turned to him

"But he didn't! That must show something!" Sapnap yelled turning back to karl

Alex hesitated, he knew sapnap was right

"I cant have george at risk- if you two choose to forgive him that's on you both, don't expect our help when it bites you in the arse" Dream shook his head taking georges hand heading back to their portal.
