It was probably around midnight when anyone could actually get some shuteye. The six had spent the first half of the night moving things from the van to the upper story, not exactly caring about how things looked as they would work on that later. Once they had moved the things they wanted to, they had a decent meal to fill their stomachs. In the van remained one of the plastic containers filled with canned food, one of the bigger packs of water bottles, a few first aid kits, and one old blanket. The rest was now scattered on the floor.
They were all glad that whoever used to live here had left some of their furniture, it really livened the place up a bit. Not to mention that some things could be used for storage, and others for comfort. An old, torn, blue couch was positioned near the center of the room, which can sit three people comfortable. They checked to see if it could fold out into a bed, but they got no luck with that aspect. Still, it was great to have. There was a worn mattress as well underneath a window, it kind of looked funky, but the boys put some of their blankets over it and now it was a makeshift bed. A table and a few shelves where also pressed up at random points of the walls, but that was the extent of their furniture.
There was also the plus of the stairs being cut off by a door, meaning nothing could just walk in willy-nilly. A few windows let in light, not a lot but enough to allow the boys to see decently around the room. Another plus was that the bathroom had running water, definitely nothing drinkable, but they trusted it enough to wash their hands. Which is exactly what Ravn did as soon as he found out, cleaning the blood off of his hands as well as his knife.
Now, he was sitting against the wall, underneath another window, facing the door to the room. Xion and Hwanwoong had fallen asleep on the mattress, cuddled up against one another with a few blankets covering them. Seoho had miraculously fallen asleep, sitting on the couch with his head resting on the back of it, Keonhee using the olders lap as a pillow. The brunette, from what Ravn could see, was curled into a not-so-small ball, taking up a bit more than just the middle section of the couch. Leedo seemed to be sleeping in the same position as Seoho, just having Keonhee's feet pressed up against his legs instead. Each of them had a blanket on their laps.
Ravn let out a sigh, he was extremely tired by this point, but his mind wouldn't shut off to let him sleep. He sat with his head pressed against the wall and his eyes closed, just focusing on breathing. Inevitably he ended up getting up, running a hand through his hair. He felt restless despite the mental and physical fatigue.
He stood, facing the window he was just sitting underneath. There was an old wooden chair that was by the table, but Ravn had taken it and placed it by the window. He sat, staring out at the barren street that was once probably, even at this hour, filled with people. In the distance, there was some illumination, though it was hard to distinguish if it was from electricity or from fire as the source was hidden from view behind other buildings. No sound could be heard, except from the noise coming from the boys. He just stared out of the window for who knows how long, not being able to get a wink of sleep or a single intrusive thought out of his head.
Ravn was startled out of his trance when a pair of small arms wrapped around him. He turned his head to the side quickly, being met with blond hair.
"Your scared me Woong." Ravn sighed in relief, moving to fully face the smaller.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Hwanwoong responded tiredly with a small smile. "Can't sleep?"
"Yeah, my minds just racing." Ravn answered with a sigh.
"Want to talk about it?" Hwanwoong offered kindheartedly, lightly pulling the older out of his seat so they were sitting on the ground, backs against the wall.
"There's nothing in particular to talk about." Ravn replied, letting the younger move him.
Hwanwoong curled into Ravn's side, wrapping his arms around the taller's waist. Ravn leaned his head on top of the blonds, letting out a breath he didn't realize he was holding.
