The telephone in her hand, Marieke stood at the top of the stairs. She could smell something from the kitchen, but couldn't quite put her finger on what it was.
"Can I come down now?", she asked.
"Just one more second." Frida must have still been in the kitchen. Marieke could here her come into the living room and put something down, then she popped up in front of the stairs smiling:
"Now you can."
When Marieke reached the bottom of the stairs, Frida took the phone from her hands:
"I remember Agnetha saying you loved movies, so I thought if you cant go to the cinema, I will bring the cinema to you." Marieke looked around the living room. The lights were off, except for the two standing lamps next to the couch, which Frida had covered with Agnetha's red silk scarves. The warm red light covering the room made it seem like an actual cinema. The popcorn on the table which she now recognized as the smell coming from the kitchen, even made it smell like one. Marieke didn't know what to say, she had no expectation but this wasn't what she was expecting either.
"You have a choice of Breakfast at Tiffany's or well that is the only thing on TV.", Frida laughed.
"Breakfast at Tiffany's is perfect." She looked at Frida:
"Thank you, this is a very nice surprise. It's not what I was expecting."
"What were you expecting?", Frida finally put down the phone.
"Oh I don't really know. It just wasnt this.", she giggled
"Well let me show you to you seat.", Frida gently pulled Marieke by the arm and showed her to the couch.
"We still have some time until the movie starts, so grab some popcorn while I get the drinks from the kitchen."
Marieke did as told, she felt spoiled in good way, a way she enjoyed. Frida came back from the kitchen with two wine glasses in her hand. She handed one to Marieke.
"Thank you."
"I hope red wine is alright, I didn't feel like going out to grab something else." She didn't even wait for Marieke to answer:
"Cheers." Their glasses clinked.
"Cheers.", Marieke replied. While they both took a sip, Frida walked around the couch to sit down as well.

"Red wine is just perfect.", she took another sip as she looked around the room again.

"This is just perfect actually. Thank you."
