Humming a soft tune, a smile claimed her lips as she placed Elijah down onto the table. He was a sedum burro's tail and she'd planted him in a little yellow pot where he was going to stay beside Larry. Both of them to keep each other company for when she was away. Whilst she was tired, she felt a lot better than on previous days although her body still ached and moaned in protest at every movement from the amount of energy and strength she'd used trying to keep her and Derek afloat.

She wanted to know the answer to the question. Where has Derek gone? When did he go from the nicest and sweetest albeit quite a grouchy man that she knew to someone who can kill so easily? Who is completely fine with having blood on his hands? When had he gotten on a plane or a ship or in a car and just left? Had it happened and she was unaware of it? Or was it only recently. She needed to know some form of an answer. Anything which could tell her where he was and how to bring him back.

Once she was happy that Elijah had settled in and was going to continue settling in just fine, she stepped away and headed over to her laptop. She had a few comments to answer to and then she needed to trial a few recipes so that she could update her blog. She couldn't see herself travelling anywhere in the foreseeable future. Not until the kanima situation was under control and she knew that everyone especially her brother would be safe.

Hearing her phone go off, she frowned but didn't take her eyes away from the screen as she reached out and grabbed the device. Instinctively, she accepted the call and pressed it to her ear, "hello?"

"You need to get to Scott's house now!" Stiles' rushed voice urged and she sighed leaning back in her chair. She had a feeling whatever he was about to say she wasn't going to like. "Derek's trying to kill Lydia so we're keeping her at Scott's house until we can find another way."

"What am I going to do?" She asked and it was a few seconds later when he spoke again.

"Look, I don't know. But you're the only one Derek won't slaughter so you have to be there to protect her," it was strange. She had a warmth and a coldness at those words. Warmth because maybe there was still some affection inside him but even then to be associated with being the one he wouldn't kill. Was she supposed to be impressed by that? Was she supposed to accept his anger in blindness whilst only looking at his tenderness?

"I really don't think-"

"Just go!"

Hesitantly bringing the phone down she found her handshaking. Why was her handshaking? Was it fear? She couldn't tell. All she knew was that she didn't want to be placed somewhere all because it might have the possibility of preventing someone that she had loved more than the sky all together from killing another human being.

He was going to kill someone.

Just like Paige.

She ended up sat in her car for about half an hour before Stiles's jeep pulled up and she climbed out of the car and headed towards the group of people. From the looks of it, she could already tell that Lydia had no idea what was going on and that Stiles, Allison, and Jackson had no intention of telling her.

"If we're studying at Scott's house, then where's Scott?" Lydia asked as Margo caught up to them.

"Meeting us here, I think."

"And her?" Lydia added on looking over to Margo.

"Oh, I promised to help cook dinner for Scott. His mom's working late," she excused, swallowing the bile that was rising from the lie. She didn't like lying. Especially after how much Derek's lie had broken her.
