Derek and Jennifer were gone.
Instead, Margo was left trying to help Lydia who was still in a cathartic state. Cora was making an effort to help her as well but nothing seemed to be working. She just seemed frozen. "We have to get going, we can get help-" Cora began and Margo looked up at her confused.
"There's no-one else to help," Margo pointed out.
"I know, but we can't stay here..."
Margo nodded before she helped Cora to haul Lydia up. She was walking so slowly that it felt like she'd drop in any moment.
A groan made them stop and they turned to look at the twins only to watch them separate into two beings, "they're alive," Cora muttered.
Margo watched over them for a second before she sighed, "get Lydia to the car," she urged glancing over at Cora before she released Lydia and walked over to the two boys. Crouching down in front of them, she checked their pulses and hearing that they were still alive a whole new idea formed over her mind. "Okay...now would be the time for some werewolf help."
With the help of Cora, she managed to take them to Deaton's veterinary clinic and thankfully he was in and was able to help. With the promise that she'd come back once she'd found Stiles and her father, she left the twins with Deaton knowing that he'd be able to look after himself if the situation was needed (both Lydia and Cora stayed to help him).
Clutching the metal baseball bat tightly in her hand (she'd made a quick pit stop at home and stolen one of Stiles' bats from the garage), she traipsed through the forest whilst trying to ignore the horrific weather which was attacking her. The rain was beating down like no other and the wind was making it hard to walk.
Groaning out in annoyance, she stomped forward not wanting to give up yet. Surely, they had to be out there and somewhere close, she prayed they were because it was cold and she wanted to find her family. Especially her father who might be slaughtered by the end of the day and she couldn't let that happen. She couldn't let someone else die.
The storm stopped.
Hearing something snap, her body tensed up and she clutched tighter at the baseball bat in her hand, "hello?" She asked into the darkness and within seconds something was coming up from behind her. Whirling around, she brought the bat up to hit the offender only for a yelp to stop her.
It was Isaac.
"What the hell are you doing?" She hissed, lowering the bat.
"Me? What the hell are you doing?" He countered, throwing his hands out in exasperation. "Do you even play baseball?"
"Of course I don't, but who doesn't own a baseball bat?" She pointed out just as more footsteps were heard and the rest of the group stepped out.
"Mal?" Stiles asked and Margo glanced over to him the relief flooding through her.
"Stiles? Dad?" She asked as she glanced over at him as well, "you're both okay?" She asked waiting for confirmation and Stiles nodded. "What about Scott and Derek?" She added on not seeing the rest of them.
"They're fine," Noah assured, "more to the point Mal, why did you not tell me about any of this?" He asked his voice growing into that of an offended parent and she pressed her lips together; looking around at the rest of the forest.
"It wasn't me."
It was late at night. Everyone was celebrating over the idea that it was over and so the teens were away from the loft, although considering Isaac was staying with Scott it was just Cora who was missing from the loft. Staring out across to Margo, Derek's eyes darkened and an amused smirk formed on his face as he looked over from his book. As usual, she was in one of his t-shirts but since there was no teenager in the loft she'd ditched the shorts although you could only see hints of her black underwear when she lifted her arms too high. She walked towards the bed with her phone in her yellow notebook in hand and pen In the other.
