"What the hell happened?" Stiles asked as he and Braeden looked around the loft alongside Margo and Derek. They hadn't touched anything just in case it meant they accidentally threw something away that could be crucial in figuring out what had happened. The loft had gone cold considering the window was completely smashed through and both adults were now completely sober.
"It was supposed to be a date..." Derek trailed off. The lights all around reminded her of Fresno, specifically their last night, what she wouldn't do to go back to a time like that.
"And they were both here?"
"And now they're both gone," Margo confirmed, her arms crossed to prevent the chill from affecting her too badly.
Stiles phone rang out and he quickly reached into his pocket pulling it out, "hey-" he began but was cut off by Lydia's voice.
"Scott's been taken." Braeden, Derek, and Margo stood watching him as they tried to hear what was being said but none of them could.
"Scott and Kira. We just don't know where."
"Mexico..." Deaton said and Stiles frowned causing the three adults to grow concerned, "And, if you want to save his life, that's where you're going, too."
Stiles hung up the phone before he looked over to Derek, "we're going to Mexico," he said and Derek sighed before nodding.
"I still don't like relying on these things," Derek admitted with a sigh. Both he and Braeden were checking over all of the weaponry to make sure it was suitable for leaving. It was the next day although it was still in the morning and none of them had slept. They'd gotten changed and Derek was in his usual jeans, t-shirt, and leather jacket.
Margo was on the other side of the room trying to clean up all the fallen glass from the shattered window and she too had changed into a pair of blue jeans, a hoodie, and a thick pair of boots until there was no threat of having a glass shard stab you in the foot. She'd wiped the majority of make-up away although there were a few smudges of mascara that she couldn't be bothered with.
All of the lights that had been put up for Scott's date were still there and so she figured she could take them down as well although much like the window some of them had shattered as well.
"I get it-- you miss your power. I would, too," Braeden admitted.
"It's not about power, it's about being able to help. I don't like feeling helpless," Derek countered.
"I'm human... do I look helpless?" Braeden reminded.
"You're a much better shot than me."
Braeden nodded in understanding before she lowered her voice so that the other human in the room couldn't hear her, "do you really think you won't be coming back?"
"Not alive."
"You know she won't be okay with that," Braeden pointed out nodding her head over to Margo who was now inspecting her plants to see the damage done to them as they were placed in front of the window.
"I am...if it saves Scott and Kira. Anyway, I've phoned my cousin. If he doesn't hear back from me by the end of tomorrow he's coming to get her. I'm not having her follow me in death," he admitted and Braeden frowned but nodded regardless. Noticing that the pair had gone quiet, Margo glanced back at them only to see them whispering to each other and she hesitated not knowing whether she should interrupt or not. "But, to be honest," Derek began loudly again, "I don't even know if this is enough firepower to take down one Berserker."
