chapter 21

What am I going to say? What if he is mad at me for being with my dad? How am I going to explain this? Wait, I dont eed to explain anything to him. If someone is going to explain themselves its going to be him. I have done nothing wrong. Well, to him.

I walk down the stairs and find him yelling at a man.  I walk over to them and they both stop talking. "Leave us" I demand.

The guy quickly scurried away. "What do you want?" I turn to crawford.

"Whats your problem?" He asks.

"You are. Hurry up and talk. I have things to do"

"Like?"

"Dont worry about what I'm doing. Now talk before I have the guards come and escort you out"

"What has he done to you?"

"Nothing.  I'm just doing what I'm supposed to"

"This is not what you are supposed to be doing"

"Like you know what I should be doing. You cant control me. This is what I am"

"Please just come back home. We all need you there"

"Why? I dont do anything special. Emma is a witch. Alex and his pack are wolfs and youre a fallen angel. You all know what you are and what is expected from you. I cant even defend myself without hurting the people around me and thats not what I want my life to be like"

"Youre going to hurt more people by staying here. You dont have any idea what its like working for your dad. I did and its not something I want you doing"

"ITS NOT WHAT YOU WANT" I yell. "This is my decision and I dont care if you like or not"

He gives me a look that made me die inside. I dont regret what I said, but I wish it hadn't sounded so bad. "Please leave" I tell him closing my eyes so I dont cry. Why am I so damn emotional?

"I'm not leaving you here" he protests.

One of the guards walks over to us. " is everything okay?" he asks.

"Yeah, he was just leaving" I say then turn around and walk back upstairs. I didn't even make it to my room without a few tears slipping out.

Crawford POV

"I know the way out!" I yell at the guard before storming out. How could she want this? Why did she want this?

I have to get her out of there before she completely changes into one of them. I Know what its like working for her father. He always gets what he wants and doesn't care about the consequences unless they involve him.

I am doing my best to keep her safe, but how am I suppose to do that when she is living with the person who I am supposed to keep her away from.

I arrive back at our house and everyone quickly rushes towards me.

"Where is she?" Emma asks.

"With Henry" I respond.

"What!?! Why?" Austin asks.

"I'm not sure. All she wanted was for me to leave so she could go back to doing what she was doing" I say walking up to Hillary's room.

I have to find some sort of answer to why she left.

I look all around her room but there want anything that might help. I open her closet and a book falls from the top. I pick it up and examine it. The cover was brown. It doesn't look very interesting. Why would she want to read something like this? I open to the first page. There was a drawing. I scan the rest. Its full of drawings. Scary drawings.

She was a good drawer. Why hasn't she ever shown me this. It does seem kind of personal but still I dont see why I haven't seen this before.

"What is that?" jai asks.

"Nothing."I say closing the book.

He raises an eyebrow but dismisses it. "Anyways, angelica is downstairs freaking out because we told her to wait and that you were busy"

Great. Just what I needed. I put the book back and walk downstairs with jai behind me.

I find Emma yelling at angelica. "Go away. No one likes you and youre a slut" angelica gasps.

"How dare you talk to me that way" angelica scolds.

"Sorry, I forgot youre not used to hearing the truth" Emma scoffs.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

They both turn to me. Emma rolls her eyes and walks away.

"About time you show up" she complains. "Why have you not been answering my calls?"

"Because I'm busy. Why did you come here?" I ask again.

"I wanted to see you. And I need to talk to Hillary. Where is she anyways?"

"She isn't here right now"

"Where is she then?"

"I dont know" I lie.

"You dont mind if I wait for her do you?" she smiles sitting down on the couch.

"Not at all. Excuse me for a minute" I say pulling Alex into the kitchen with me.

"Why didn't you kick her out?" Alex hisses.

"I cant she's difficult. And I cant tell her Hillary is off in the realms with her dad. Who just happens to be a fallen angel." I argued.

"right"

"I'm going to tell Emma to go try to get Hillary back. she is really close to get so she might listen to her."

"I'll tell her top come here" Alex says leaving then coming back with Emma.

"I cant go get her" Emma whispers so angelica cant hear her.

" why not?" me and Alex ask.

"I'm a witch so I cant go into the fallen angel realm without hilly." she explains.

"I totally forgot about that" I sigh. Now what?

We look over to where angelica was seated. We give her a fake smile and wave.

"I say we kill her" Emma suggests.

"What!?! No" I scold.

"Its not a bad idea" Alex joins in.

"We are not going to kill her" I argue.

"Fine" Emma sighs."what are we going to do then?"

"We are going to get hilly back" I tell them.

"And how are we going to do that?" Alex asks.

"I dont know yet" I muttered.

"Guys she is getting on my last nerves" troye walks into the kitchen.

"What did she do?" Alex asks.

"Nothing. I just dont like her in here" troye scoffed.

"Okay. Emma you distract her" I command.

"No, I am not going near her without killing her" Emma complains.

"Fine. Troye, you and austin will distract her and I will go with alex to the realms and try and get the rebellions to help us with the whole hilly thing" I demanded."Emma you will stay and make sure nothing goes wrong"

"Okay" Emma responds.

"Lets go" I leave with alex without getting noticed by angelica. I dont know what we would tell her if she had seen us.

We walks into the realms and began our search.
