chapter 15

"I cant believe we did it!" Emma smiles.

"I know. I could have sworn we were going to die" austin laughs.

Crawford pulls me closer to him.  "I hope they know its not over"

" just let them enjoy themselfs for now" I whisper loud enough for only him to hear.

Crawford simply sighs and gives his attention back to jai and troye. We were back at my house in the living room. I really dont want to be here either but I didnt have much of a choice. I was thinking about moving and we could go to school and try tonlive a normal life. After all we do need to blend in so my dad cant find us.

"Ill be right back" I get up and walk to my room. I collapse on my bed and let out a heavy sigh.

There was movement by my bed. I sit up and let out scream when I see a little boy standing on the other side of my bed.  Crawford burst in the room with everyone behind him.

" Whats wrong?" Alex asks.

"Um......nothing I saw a ...uh...spider" I lie.

"Are you sure?" Troye questions.

"Yeah im fine" I give them a slight smile.

"Ok. You scared the shit of me" emma laughs and walks away with tyler.

I walk with them closing my bedrooms door behind me. I wasnt in the mood of being locked in this house so I grab my phone and walk out without anyone noticing. Knowing crawford he wouldnt want me to go alone and then I would be stuck walking with all of them. Right now I  just want to be alone and think my whole life over.

I didnt choose to grow up alone thinking my parents were dead. I didnt want to see things no one else could. I had to live in fear of everything........everyone.

I kept walking until I came upon a familiar tree. I smile and climb on. Sitting here brought back so much memories. It was so peacful up hear. I pull out my phone. I had two missed calls from crawford and four messages. 

Crawford:

WHERE ARE YOU!?!?!

Crawford:

ANSWER YOUR PHONE

Crawford:

Why did you leave?

Crawford:

HILLARY WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN DIFFICULT

I should have known he would overreact. I should probably go home before it gets dark. I barely got here, but thanks to my dad trying to kill me I no longer have any freedoms.

I hurry back to the house. The door was unlocked so I quietly walk in. Emma appears in front of me making me jump.

"Where were you? Crawford is freaking out"

"I went for a walk" I respond and go around her walking to my room.

Before I could reach my room crawford appears in front of me.

"Where were you?" He asks.

"Walking" I simply respond.

"Why didnt you answer your phone?"

"It was on vibrate and I hadnt checked it. Why are you so worried? Nothing happened to me."

"Well you left without telling me and then didnt answer my calls or messages so I had a right to be worried."

I give him a quick smile then continue walking to my room. Crawford followed behind me. This is exactly why I didnt tell him. He doesnt understand that I can take care of myself. I really think we should forget about what happened and move on. We cant worry about whats going to happen if my dad finds us.

I walk into my room and sit on my bed . Crawford walks in and lays down beside me.

"What are we supposed to do now? We cant stay here forever, but we cant go out and increase the chances of my dad finding me." I say.

"Im not sure. We could still go places we just cant use magic."

"then whats the point of having powers if we cant use them?"

"If we use magic it makes it easier for your dad to find us. And now he doesnt only want to kill you he also wants to kill emma, alex, troye, austin, jai, tyler and me"

"Well even if he does find us we know how to fight back and its not that easy to track us down. We should move and do something with our lives instead of sitting here thinking 'what if'."

"I just want you to be safe" crawford sighs.

"And I am so there isnt anything to worry about" I give him a reassuringly smile.

Before we could say anything else emma comes in.

"Austin is trying to kill troye again" she says a bit to casual.

"What? Why?" Me and crawford ask at the same time.

"Im not sure. Their always fighting." Emma responds then walks back out.

"Im going to go check up on them." I laugh and walk out of my room looking for them. I follow the loud laughter and find them outside running around.

Crawford appears by my side. "Its getting late we should be inside. And they cant make so much noise."

"Loosen up. Their just having fun and I think its good thir not worrying about what happened."

He lets out a big sigh and walks back inside. Why is he so worried? We already got out of the realms and my dad isnt allowed to come out of the realms. Im still not sure why but it doesnt matter.

"Ok guys its getting dark. Everyone inside!" I demand and walk inside the house.

I walk to my room and find crawford on my bed with his phone. He finishes texting someone then puts the phone in his pocket.

"Who are you texting?" I took a big risk asking this. I crawl in the bed next to him.

"Nobody" exactly. This is why I hadnt asked before. Its not like I would ever recieve any actual response. I would try again later, but I dont feal like arguing with him today. I just give him that look of disappointment.

"What?" He asks.

"Nothing" I sigh and lay down.

"Really?"

"What?"

" youre mad because I didnt answer your quesiton"

"No, not really. I honestly dont care." I get under the covers and hug him. "Im tired. Goodnight."

He turns off the light and lays down with me. "Goodnight" he says hugging me.
