chapter 26

I wake up and quickly sit up, but soon regret it when I feel my side ache. I wince as I try to stand.

I eventually give up and lay down. I pick up my phone from the table next to my bed it was 3:00 in the morning. Was I really out that long? I wonder where everyone is. It's never this quiet around the house.

I force myself out of bed and slowly walk out of my room. I walk past everyone's room. They where all asleep. I walk into Emma's room and gently shake her. She jumps up and punches me. I fall back holding my jaw and side.

"Hillary? OH MY GOD! I am so sorry" she rushes to my side and helps me up.

"It's fine. I'm just not sure I want to be the one to wake the boys." I joke.

"How did I end up in my room?" she looks around confused.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"I never came back up here. I just remember hunter came and lights out for everyone." she explains.

"Wait, what was Hunter doing here?"

"I don't know. I told you I only remember you passed out and then it was our turn"

"He must have done something, I know he did. He wouldn't just come to visit without wanting something"

"Did you check around? Does anything look out of place?"

"No, I could barely get up. Abigail really hurt me yesterday"

"Wait, you haven't healed yet?"

"Am I supposed to?"

"Well.......yeah. You might be human, but you still have some magic in you"

"Do you think the guy's know anything about this?"

"Probably, let's go check."

We walk into Alex's room. He's asleep. We check everyone else's room but everyone was sleeping. At least I thought so. I run back into Alex's room and jump on his bed. Nothing. I shake him.

"Alex! Please wake up" I beg. He didn't even move. He was breathing, but there was no movement. Only his chest rising up and down.

I received the same reaction from all the boys. "Okay, I'm really freaking out now. What is going on?" Emma panics.

"Let's go with my dad and hope he knows what's going on-" we both jump when we hear Austin yell. We run to his room. He was sitting up in his bed with a horrified look on his face. I hurry to his side and sit next to him.

"Austin whats wrong!?!" I ask.

"That thing. I need to leave. We all do! What if comes back!?!" He jumps out of bed.

"What are you talking about?" I turn to Emma.

"You're scaring me Austin" Emma says quietly.

"I need to get away from her" he points to me.

I look at him confused. "Why? What happened?"

"You're the reason we lose everything! If we don't leave you we are all going to die! You're the one we should be against. You are a danger to everyone."

"Austin, calm down" Emma says.

"NO! You're not listening to me. She is going to kill you! She is going to kill all of us" He protests. "We need to stop her" he whispers before throwing himself at me. I scream and jump to the side as Emma holds him back. He might be the youngest but I can't go against a werewolf. His teeth and claws come out and his eyes turn yellow instead of his usual light blue ones.
