May POV:
When I tell you I am tired of going back and forth from Cali, Atl, New York, and Florida. I mean trust me this money is good, but the constant back and forth was getting to me I mean I haven't seen my parents in so long. Everyone had a plan for Thanksgiving and the last time we did something special was Friendsgiving last year. This year we are all separated, Bianka and Zel decided to stay in Cali. Serayah and Jarad are going to Chicago. Ayana and Jah were going to Jah people and I was going to be with my family. My brother and sister were coming down from Connecticut for Thanksgiving and my other relatives would be coming around as well. I was thinking of inviting Stokekley but that would mean he would have to meet my family and I don't know how he would feel in that type of situation. Stokeley and I decided that we would still sleep separately from one another, almost like we pressed the reset button. I decided I would call him just to see what he was doing today.

"nothing really ma, I haven't really spoken to my family so I'm just gonna spend the day by myself"
"Well, you're coming to my house and meeting my family. okay?"
"I mean I can't just show up"
"You can be here by 1, bring juice"

I hung up before he could respond and if he knew what was good for him he would be here at the time I requested. My cousins were going to be here and I could already smell the weed. My brothers and sister smoked as well and we never hid the fact that we all drink from our parents. My dad is the one that gave me my first drink. I get up and do my hygiene then I go downstairs to find my mom already in the Kicthen cooking her dishes. We usually have the full dinner at my aunt's house but of course the hours before everyone is cooking.
"Morning mommy!"
"Morning May, how did you sleep?"
"I slept well mommy," I said pulling up a chair fiddling with my hands"
"Talk to me May what's up?"
"Uh mommy, I invited my friend to Thanksgiving dinner"
"MAY! You know this isn't my dinner this is at your aunt's house"
"Yes but Aunty Betty already said it was okay."
"Ugh she loves her great-niece doesn't she"
"She loves her niece," I said getting up and kissing her cheek. I stayed and helped her in the kitchen. When I opened the oven the warm smell of baked mac and cheese came fuming out. The color was a golden yellow and I couldn't wait to eat because I loved mac and cheese. My mom was making her famous ginger juice and then I heard a knock at the door. I checked the window the run to open the door then scream.
"NADINE, TJ!!!!!"
Nadine: "MAY!!!"
I hugged them both and let them inside.
Tj: "Hey mommy"
Mom: "Hey Tj and Nadine how was the flight?"
Nadine: "It was good mom, where's Cobie?"
"Oh he's not here but we might see him when we go over to Aunty Betty's"
Nadine: "Okay and how are you? I mean I be seeing you on social media and stuff and you be with them Florida rappers and in Cali"
Tj: "She becoming Hollywood!"
"No, I am not I have been good. Speaking of rappers you're going to meet one of them at dinner tonight"
