Let’s play a game of pretend
To see who will win in the end.
You can pretend you love your kids and your wife,
Then tell everyone there is no strife.
You can pretend the hits don’t happen and the insults aren’t rife,
And I will pretend I hate my knife.
Here’s a deal: let's keep pretending we have a perfect life.
Isn’t this fun? I know how you hate suffering shame,
So let’s keep quiet and keep playing the pretend game.
