Cecilia pov
"Come down for breakfast idiot," Lucas spoke as he left my room door wide open. Could he at least close the door, how annoying.

As I got to the dinning room, everyone was munching on their breakfast. Something about this atmosphere felt empty. How have I never noticed how unbearable this silence was?

Is it because I hung out with the others too much? Whenever I was with them, everything was loud yet enjoyable. It had that fun, lively atmosphere whereas this feels shallow.

"The forecast said it's going to rain today," Julia spoke breaking the empty silence.

"Oh! Then let us have a stay in party in the game room," mother smiled, "Cecilia why don't you prepare the game room for us?"

"I don't feel like it, have Lucas do it," I spoke in a sleepy manner.

"Maybe, she does not want to play games with us honey, why not practice to play the piano? I think you have had enough rest time for the summer," father spoke firmly.

"It's okay! I'll do it," Julia let out a nervous laugh.

"No Ju, let Cecilia prepare the game room or maybe perhaps father is right? You have done nothing during the past few weeks," mother spoke while faking a smile.

Julia and Lucas started to look at their plate awkwardly.

Aunt let out a sigh, "Oh my goodness it's just picking a game board and preparing the game room. I'll have one of the workers do it no need to make a big deal out of it. Right Ceci?"

I just nodded lazily as I still felt sleepy.

"No no, I insist that Cecilia should practice the piano. After summer break we have been invited to one of my business partner's opening ceremony. He was delighted to hear Cecilia would be playing the grand piano for the opening," father looked at me as if he was expecting me to agree with him.

"It's still summer break though, I don't feel like practicing," I yawned.

"Where are your table manners? Yawning at the table? You have been skipping breakfast past these few weeks too," her face grew pink, "Also stop going outside and coming back home so late, you have changed," mother nagged then disappointedly sighed out loudly.

"Julia also goes out everyday why are you not telling her anything?" I argued back.

She looked astonished, possibly because I never talked back, "Julia is just having her fun and she's older than you which makes her more responsible."

"Did you just talk back to your mother?" father spoke in a serious tone.

"Now now, everyone calm down the day hasn't even started yet," uncle spoke trying to lighten up the mood.

"Cecilia answer me," father spoke again in a cold tone this time.

"Lucas does that all the time why are you pointing the fingers at me?" I frowned my eyebrows.

"Cecilia!" mother yelled while Lucas yelled out, "HEY! I don't do that all the time!" Julia just had an awkward smile frozen to her lips.

"OH SHUT UP!" I banged my closed fist on the table, "You do talk back all the time, you're the one who always acts spoiled too not me," I yelled across to Lucas.

Uncle and aunt started blabbering on about how they give too much responsibility to me while mother tried arguing back.

"CECILIA! Don't tell your brother to shut up! Watch your mouth young lady," mother yelled.

"Why is it always me?! Lucas and Julia says that all the time! Why do I have to act like an empty shell who has no emotions?! When I told you guys I wanted to take a year gap cause of the strain you put on my studies, you went ahead and gave my application to the top 3 universities. But you let Julia take her gap year!" I let out.
