Cecilia pov
Oh boy, I walked in at a wrong time. Colin was no where to be seen and Alec just now walked away. Jess's eyes were puffy and red while her nose was pink. There was that heavy atmosphere."You guys can walk home? I'll drive Cecilia back," Ethan spoke with rather low tone.
"Yeah," Jess let out a soft sigh as she turned around and walked away. Kyle gave me a fake smile and hurriedly walked beside Jess.
"Come, I'll take you home," Ethan gestured at me to get in his car. I quietly got in. This time around it didn't feel like it was something worth to be nosy about.
Ethan let out a brief force of air out of his nose while half smiling, "You okay? You're quiet today."
"Nothing," I shook my head and faked a smile. The ride was supposed to be short but felt quite long today.
Before we got to my place, Ethan spoke, "Hey." I turned my head towards him. "You sure you're okay?" he asked and I nodded in response.
"Do you want change of clothes? Your clothes are still wet," the moonlight reflected on his reassuring smile. Which made me feel a bit at ease. It'd be weird to show up with wet clothes back home, "Yeah, sorry your car-"
"It's fine," he gave a reassuring smile again. He turned his car around from my place and started driving else where.
"How was the party?" he spoke.
"It was actually really fun today." I recalled back to where Alec and I were on the roof about to jump into the pool. I found myself mesmerised by the words about living in the moment.
"We're here, my place," Ethan said as he parked his car. I awkwardly walked into his house. He went inside a room and walked out with clothes in his hands.
His fluffy brown hair bounced each time he took a step. "They're my girlfriend's," he handed me the clothes. I widen my eyes, "Won't she mind?"
"No, she won't," he smiled, "The toilet is there," he pointed towards a door and I walked inside. As I got out after changing, I could hear Ethan's and a girl's voice.
She was standing on the sofa and had her arm around Ethan's shoulder. She was wearing a hoodie too big for her. It was definitely Ethan's hoodie, I thought to myself.
"Why do you come home so late? I came here during my summer break and you're always leaving me alone," she playfully rolled her eyes while smiling.
Ethan looked at her like she was his whole universe. He smiled at her and playfully pinched her cheek, "I had to win this drinking round."
"You always cheat by adding water anyway! What's the point?" she laughed. She had pretty eyes with curled lashes and long wavy brown hair. She looked pretty.
"I just like the look of people's shocked faces when they think I have a totally unbelievable tolerance. Going to make myself a legend," he smiled sweetly.
I never noticed but Ethan has a soft dimple on his left cheek. Maybe mostly because he doesn't smile that often like Colin. Yet he was showing his smiles care freely to her. Like his smiles are only meant for her.
He walked few steps away from the sofa, which caused her to lose balance and she stepped down onto the floor.
He smiled at her while patting her head, "Lil cupcake," he let out.
"Uh," I interrupted. They both turned their heads towards me. I awkwardly smiled, "Thank you for the clothes."
"Oh! No problem, I brought plenty for the trip to here," she smiled.
