AN: Bonus chapter! This one is kinda short. Also, I think I might start posting chapters every couple of days instead of every week.
Draco's POV
Harry woke up about an hour after McGonagall left. He looked so peaceful when he was sleeping, like the storm that had filled his entire body earlier just vanished. When he opened his eyes I could see they were filled with guilt.
"Harry, please it wasn't your fault. Stop looking at me like it was your fault." I begged him.
"It is my fault. I shouldn't have let her talk to me in an empty hallway. I shouldn't have left you behind in Charms. I shouldn't have attacked Ginny. I could have killed her." His voice cracked at the end. "I could have become like Voldemort"
"Harry James Potter, you listen to me right now. You will never be like Voldemort. You know how I know? Because I love you and you love me and that is already more than Voldemort ever had. You have friends and you have me. I will never let you become like Voldemort. I promise." He looked at me startled. Then he kissed me. I kissed him back of course.
"Sorry I just needed to make sure you were real." He said when we pulled away.
Then Mr. and Mrs. Weasley came rushing into the hospital wing. I thought they would go straight for Ginny but they didn't they went straight for Harry. He looked absolutely terrified so I shielded him with my body.
"Harry! Oh my goodness are you alright? McGonagall told us what happened, you must have been so scared." Mrs. Weasley said, her voice filled with worry. I allowed her to hug Harry, who was in total shock.
"I'm alright. Y-You're not mad at me?" He asked, he looked ready to cry. I was ready to kill anyone who made him cry.
"Of course not dear." Mrs. Weasley said, her voice and expression were warm.
"If anything, we should apologize to you. Our daughter has always had that stubborn heart, she has used it for great things, this was not one of them." Mr. Weasley said, with a pointed look at Ginny. Who had the most guilty expression ever. Harry let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh and Draco, I'm so happy you're alright. I want to formally apologize for my daughter's behavior." Mrs. Weasley said to me.
"It's alright really." I responded.
"I can't believe you two took so long to get together. How long has it been dear?" She asked her husband.
"Oh around eight years." He responded. Harry and I looked at each other in confusion.
"I brought you something Draco." she pulled out a sweater, it was hand knitted and green with the silver letter D on it. "I made you one every year since you were eleven. I was so sure Harry was going to invite you over for Christmas."
"Thank you Mrs. Weasley," I said. I smiled so big when I put it on. It fit perfectly. Harry gave me a warm smile.
"You mean to tell me even you two knew Draco and I would end up together?" Harry said in awe.
"Please dear. Everyone knew. Although I did think it would be sooner that you would at least become friends." She gave Harry and I each a hug before going to see her daughter.
"How did everyone know but us?" I asked Harry, who still seemed to be shocked that Mrs. Weasley didn't yell at him.
"I have no idea. But now that I think about it, Hermione probably had us roomed together so we would be forced to be nice to each other." Harry said.
I couldn't help it, I kissed him. He was just so adorable and I missed feeling his touch. He leaned into the kiss, returning it with the same amount of love and passion that I did.
"Excuse me Mr. Potter and Mr. Malfoy. You two may go, there is no need for that sort of display in my hospital." Madame Pomfrey said.
Harry and I laughed and we walked back to our room. I snuck a glance at the bathroom where I had tried to take my life. Harry saw me looking.
"Hermione came in and cleaned the bathroom. She also removed all the razors from in there as well." Harry said, his voice was sad at the last part.
"Harry, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I saw her kissing you and the first thing I blamed was my mark. My past. I thought that when you saw it, you remembered all the things I did and you hated me." I said, scrambling for the words.
"Draco, I couldn't hate you if I wanted to. I love you too much for that. And like I told you when I saw it, it's just another scar. A healing wound from our past that just needs a bit more time. I have plenty of those."
He took off his shirt, which I just realized was covered in my blood, and showed me his arms and stomach and back. I had felt the scars before when I touched his body but I never wanted to bring up painful memories for him. He pointed each one out, most of them were from the war, but a few were from his uncle and cousin. When he was done, I moved from the spot where I had rooted myself and kissed a long scar on his shoulder. Then I proceeded to kiss each and every scar on his beautiful body, until I finally reached his lips.
"Everyone has scars on Draco, the important thing is what we make of them. Yours prove that you can overcome anything thrown at you. That you were strong and brave." Harry said finally. I didn't think it was possible to love him anymore than I did right then.
