Draco's POV
I woke up on the morning of mine and Harry's 2 year anniversary, to the beautiful sight of my boyfriend, naked, and getting ready for a shower. He smiled when he saw me awake.
"Good morning babe." He said, I looked him up and down, soaking in his beauty.
"Good morning indeed," I replied.
"Would you like to join me for a shower before work?" He asked. I smiled and checked the time.
"Absolutely, I have even more time if I use the floo." I said.
I got out of bed and crossed the room to meet him. I connected our mouths and let my hands trail his entire body. I quickly discarded my pajamas and we moved to the bathroom.

The entire room was filled with steam when we finished, and we were on the verge of being late. I got dressed and did my hair in the bathroom down the hall since our mirror was completely fogged up. I came downstairs and Harry handed me a bagel to eat quickly.
"Dinner tonight, 6 o'clock, don't be late," I said.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world." He replied. He gave me a kiss on the cheek, but I turned my head and caught his mouth. He pulled away after a moment. "Love, we're gonna be late."
I used the floo to get to the MOM and Harry apparated to Gringotts. I had finished my case with the shop in Diagon Alley, so I had to fill out paperwork and wait to get another case. The department head came out of his office with a stack of case files. He passed them out to other aurors who were waiting. He put one on my desk, another solo case.
"You did well on the last one." He said, patting me on the back.
I nodded my thanks and opened the file. A solo death eater who was reported to be breaking into shops in Diagon Alley and leaving the Dark Mark on the walls of the shops he breaks into. Interesting, I thought. It wasn't uncommon for death eaters to continue committing crimes in Voldemort's name, but it was strange for there to only be one.
Harry's POV
Justin interviewed more goblins while I looked around the vault that the thief tried to break into. I had a goblin open it for me and found it was empty, nothing was inside. According to the goblin, there had not been anything inside since Voldemort came back. I looked around the empty vault, it was bare, except for a strange mist in the air. I traced the mist to the back wall, where a Dark Mark was put on the wall.
"Has that always been there?" I asked, pointing to the mark.
"No, that was never there before." The goblin said.
I thanked the goblin and met back up with Justin in the main hall of Gringotts.
"Find anything?" He asked.
"Yes actually, there is a dark mark on the back wall of the vault, other than that it's completely empty," I said. Justin thought for a moment.
"That's strange, what would a former death eater want with an empty vault?" Justin asked the same question I was thinking.
"I'm not sure. Yet" I said. I checked my watch and realized I needed to leave so I would be home on time.
"We could stay and do some more investigating," Justin suggested.
"I can't tonight. I have to get home, it's mine and Draco's two-year anniversary." I explained.
"Congratulations, you should probably hurry angry boyfriends are never good." He said.
I laughed and waved goodbye. I apparated back home and walked in to find Draco in an all black suit. I smiled and walked curiously over to him.
"Hey, you look amazing," I said. He smiled.
"Why thank you, hurry up and get ready our reservations are soon." He said.
"Reservations?" I questioned.
"Yep." He said, before shooing me upstairs.
I got dressed in a navy blue suit with a white undershirt. I made sure my curls were extra fluffy, Draco always said he liked that. I made my way down the stairs and Draco linked his arm in mine. We apparated to the front of a very nice restaurant. Draco checked us in, he was really starting to blend in with the muggles. The waitress led us to a table set for two in our own private corner. Draco pulled my chair out for me like a real gentleman.
"You didn't have to go through all this trouble you know," I said with a smile.
"Yes I did, you're so very special to me and after everything, we've been through you deserve a special evening." He said.
My cheeks flushed and I looked down at the menu. We ordered and had a very nice bottle of wine to go with dinner, Draco was really spoiling me tonight. The sun was starting to set when we finished dinner. Draco grabbed my hand and I expected us to apparate home, but he took me somewhere else. It was a grassy field, there were no houses or people anywhere I could see. I shot him a questioning glance but he just pulled me down onto the grass. We laid facing the night sky. Draco cast a spell with his wand and the sky was covered by a projection of sorts. There were so many stars everywhere. I looked around in awe.
"Right there," Draco said, drawing out a constellation with his fingers. "That is the constellation Draco."
"Wow, it's beautiful," I said. He drew another with his finger.
"That is Andromeda." He said.
"All the Blacks were named after constellations," I said, remembering what Sirius told me once.
"Yes, and this one," he drew another with his finger. "Is Sirius."
"It is?" I said, taking a deep breath.
"Yes, and that on right there." He said, drawing another. "Is Orion."
"Orion, that was Sirius's middle name," I said.
"I thought you'd like to see what he was named after." He said.
"I love it, thank you," I said, I grabbed his other hand and laced our fingers together. "Do you know any more?"
"Yes, I do." He said.
He continued to point out each of the constellations. They were all beautiful, patterns of stars that created a shape. Draco seemed so happy sharing his knowledge of stars with me, and I loved every second. We laid in the grass watching the stars for a while before Draco stood and helped me to my feet. He removed the projection of constellations and revealed the true night sky. It was also filled with stars, but these were all mixed. Different levels of brightness, some small, some large. I looked up, again in awe. He smiled and I looked into his starry grey eyes.
"Merlin you're so amazing," I said. He smiled.
"Harry you know I love you. But I don't think you know how much. I'm am exactly the person I am today, because of you. The things you have helped me overcome these past few years, have truly made me a better person. And I know I can be dramatic and stubborn, but I don't want to go one more second in this world without you there." Draco said. My breath caught in my throat at what he did next. He dropped to one knee and pulled a box out of his suit jacket. He popped it open and inside was a silver band, on the top was a gold diamond with smaller diamonds encrusting the band. It looked like a golden snitch. "Harry James Potter, will you marry me?"
I just stood there and stared at him, I already knew the answer but I was totally in shock from what just happened.
"Yes! Merlin yes! Of course." I said finally, a huge smile plastered on my face.
Draco stood up and placed the ring on my finger and kissed me, deep and full of love.
Thank you to everyone who read this, I put a lot of time and effort into it. Don't panic, this isn't the end. Draco and Harry's story continues in the sequel After. The first chapter is already up so no need to wait.
