A/N: Ay! It's finals week(please someone hit me with a bus) sorry I forgot to post this chapter on time, I got distracted lol.
Harry's POV
Draco and I woke up just before dawn for the third time this week. We had become aurors quickly, the ministry allowed us to skip the training course as long as we scored well on the exams. Ron, unfortunately, was still stuck in training. Our third mission as aurors was to track down a group of remaining death eaters in Italy. We had tracked them all the way to a small town and we had been monitoring their movements. Today was the day we would make an arrest and bring them back to the Ministry.
Draco went straight for the coffee machine, he was basically an expert on the coffee machine by now. We got dressed and left our rickety hotel room for the last time. Hopefully we could go home after this, it had been two weeks since we were last there and we had to postpone our third monthly dinner with our friends. We walked down the empty streets towards the spot where the death eaters usually gathered in the morning, in an alleyway behind an old floral shop. It was a small group of three death eaters, all who had the dark mark and all who had been reported to have tortured and killed innocent muggles and wizards.
Draco and I split off so we could corner them, we both had our wands ready. In the three months since we became aurors we had become one of the most successful teams the ministry had. I disarmed them all as soon as they spotted us and Draco threw a stunning spell at one.
We backed them up against the wall of the alley, just before we could knock the last one out, I saw something silver flash in his hand and I felt a sharp pain in my stomach a minute later. I felt myself fall back and saw the world get a little fuzzy. I saw Draco knock the last death eater out before running over to me, his eyes were filled with worry. I tried to keep my eyes open but they just felt so heavy. The world around me began to go dark, blackness creeped at the edge of my vision until everything around me was completely dark. I heard Draco's voice but it was too muffled to understand it. I let my eyes close and then everything was quiet.
Draco's POV
I felt the usual rush of adrenaline as Harry and I quickly took down the first two death eaters. Harry raised his wand to finish the last one but he stopped mid spell, I didn't have time to react. I used the emergency knockout potion I carried with me and the last death eater collapsed with the others. I spun around to face Harry but he was lying on the ground. His robes were wet with blood. There was a small knife sticking out of his stomach and he was losing blood quickly. I held Harry's head in my hands while I assessed the damage of the knife. His eyes started to close and his breathing was ragged.
"Harry, don't close your eyes. You open them. You hear me? Open you damn eyes." I pleaded.
He didn't listen and closed them anyways, I kept one hand on his chest, feeling his heartbeat. Thankfully it was still beating, but it was weakening with every second. I apparated us and the three unconscious death eaters to the Ministry as soon as we arrived in the department for aurors I screamed for help.
"Help! Help me. Harry's been stabbed." I called.
The mention of Harry's name brought several people running. Everything that happened after that was a blur. They took him to St. Mungo's and gave him his own room. I don't remember them taking the knife out or them using spells to replenish his blood and close the wound. But by the time I came into full consciousness he was sleeping on the hospital bed with a wrap around his wound. A healer came in to check on Harry and I stood up from my chair and made my way over to Harry's bedside.
"Ah it is nice to see you responsive." She said. "I'm Mrs. Lancelot. And are you family of Mr. Potter?"
"I'm his boyfriend actually. Is he going to be alright?" I asked, unable to keep the desperation out of my voice.
