193 reads. Thanks guys! Here is a rubbish picture I drew. I know, it's crap. But I did enjoy drawing it so yeah....  Don't forget to on your fave chapter so far.

I knew that Legolas was horrified that I was picked as the tenth member of the fellowship but I knew I had bought Elrond and Gandalf's trust. The hobbits were weary of me but they trusted Gandalf more then anyone. We left 4 days after the council. The participants of the Fellowship stayed in Rivendell, while the others drifted out to prepare for Mordor's threats. An attack on the Iron hills, The Woodlem Relam, and Loth Lorien, were all to occupy allies of Gondor before the final attack, the one that bring middle earth to its knees so my father could finally stamp it out. Now I would die to stop him. Arwen and I began preparing for my journey. I was given some light chain mail over my shoulders and some dark green tunic. I showed Elrond the sword of Gil Galad's, who let me keep it. I needed my daggurs and bow though. Elrond agreed for me to cross the river to retrieve them. I then gave them to black smith and there clever elven hands replicated them with the silver steel. On the morning that we left I saw joined the members of the fellowship in the court yard. I saw the hobbits huddled close together with Bilbo, they looked very intimidated by the great journey and they should be to! If my father found out of my Betrayal his rage would target the fellowship more. If that was possible. I looked around and saw Aragorn was not with us. I caught sight of him with Arwen, it looked like they were saying goodbye. I tore my eyes away feeling sorry for my friend. I realized I would miss her, her reassuring smile, her kindness and her selflessness. Aragorn drew away and left to join the anxious company.

As we waved farewell to Arwen and Elrond a felt suddenly exposed, like Rivendell was my sanctuary and as I walked across the river I remembered crossing into it.  I was under Khamuls strict orders to retrieve the ring. Now I was here to protect it. Gandalf led the party followed by Frodo, Merry and Pippen, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, Sam with his Pony Bill, myself and Aragorn, his weather-beaten face worn with grief. We walked on for the rest of the day seldom talking for it was a long road ahead. That evening we set up camp under the shadow of the misty mountains. I offered to take first watch but nobody wanted me while they slept. Aragorn kindly offered to cover it with me which I later realized meant "We need to talk" He sat next to me and lit his pipe.

"You know your father better then anyone on Middle Earth, I don't trust you for it."
"He's not my father."
"Maybe not, but you were raised by him and trained by the Nazgul."
"Hush, do not speak of those dark things that lurk in the shadows." There was silence between us. Until he asked,
"Arwen and her father trusted you, I have a duty to them to trust you too, say, you do not seek revenge."
"I seek the destroyance of the darkness. Revenge, no." He nodded thoughtfully.
"I wish for the trust of the fellowship, yet some scars lay to deep." I said
"You have nothing to show that you are one of them now." Suddenly I heard a sound of something large behind me. I whipped around notching an arrow in my bow. Legolas heard it to. He sat up and trained his bow where the noise came from. Then I heard a nicker. It was soft and greeting,

"Tao!" I ran to the great black horse throwing my arms around his chest. The rest of the fellowship had woken now and were looking at Tao with interest. Gandalf walked up patting Tao on the shoulder.

"The bond between elf and horse stays strong in times of weakness." He said wisely. I was surprised came with me. I left him in Rivendell but I realized he must of wanted to follow me back to the land of fire. Gandalf and Sam both wanted to take some of the load of Bill the Pony and put on Tao but when they plopped a heavy load onto his back he reared and kicked out.

"That horse has been bred in the darkness. It is a menace!" Legolas announced. "That horse was stolen from Angmar in the second age. It is loyal to me and me alone, we share the same soul" I snapped back. There was silence until Mithrandir spoke up.
"If the Lady Elinor can ride him, it shall accompany us to the end. He said finally. Everyone watched as I leapt onto his back with no gear and cantered round in a large circle around them. I raised an eyebrow to Gandalf who nodded impressed. "Well I think our decision is made" He said promptly sitting back down.

"Lets get some sleep" Gandalf said while Legolas glared at me full of hatred and began keeping watch of me who was keeping watch of everyone else. I finished my shift and Gimli the dwarf took my place.

"That there lassy, was some serious skill, don't worry about the elf. He's a nasty piece of work." He said loudly enough that Legolas could hear him. I kept in my laughter and lay down against a sandy granite rock, quite like the one I sat against all those mornings ago, hating the world, wanting the ring just to be looked at again. Despite not having everyone's full trust I felt more at home here then ever before.

Sorry, I have bigger plans for the next chapter this was just a filler to give back the most loyal stallion ever.

Anyways bye!
