"had the time of my life fighting dragons with you"

"HELLO, AND WELCOME TO WELCOME WEEK." Headmistress Ashwing announced to the large number of teenage students way too early in the morning. We sat in the gigantic foyer as there were speakers and a stage toward the front of the room.
"Today we will get to know each other in a series of friendly competitions and at the end there will be a welcome party for our year twos and above!" Headmistress Ashwing exclaimed as the first years groaned in disappointment.
"I have to wait til' next year to go to the welcome party? This is incredibly stupid." Millie, Louis' little sister complained as she sat one row behind me.
"Well, at least you're not a fourth year with no friends to go to the party with." Issie said as she crossed her arms and rolled her round brown eyes.
"Hey. If you want I can sneak you in." I whispered to the smaller girl sat behind me.
Louis looked at me as if I were insane, like I was corrupting his little sister. I'm just opening her up to new experiences, okay?
"No! Absolutely not!" Louis whisper yelled so he couldn't disturb anyone that was actually listening to Headmistress Ashwing.
"Don't be such a debby downer, Louis. They don't do drugs or anything at these parties. It's perfectly safe for little Millie here." A small smile was perched upon my face.
"Just live a little! Mom and dad aren't here, you don't have to be perfect all the time." Issie said, continuing on with our little whisper conversation.
"That's the point! Mom and dad aren't here, so I have to be her adult supervision. She can't go." Louis shrugged and looked at me.
"You must be fun at parties." I said, rolling my eyes.
"Ms. Aldine and Mr. Partridge, do you have something to say?" I closed my eyes and scrunched my face. Maybe I can discover a new magical ability that will get me out of this situation! "Iris and Louis seem to already have a good competition by the way their talking to each other, so why don't you be our team captains for welcome week."
My whole body froze.
"Come on!" Headmistress Ashwing motioned her arm for us to get on stage. Louis and I slowly got up as we exchanged death glares at each other. This is so embarrassing.
