"come back, be here"

A few weeks later...
"MOM, I'M GOING TO THE BOOKSTORE DOWN THE STREET!" I yelled from the front door of our small South London home.
When I got here, I expected my mom to be mad, maybe even curse me out or something but she wasn't. She found out that everyone knew about our not-so-secret-anymore secret, and decided to let me stay.
Of course I missed my friends... and Louis (I missed him a lot), but I couldn't stay. All of those people back at school hate me. I would hate me too.
I opened the door and walked down the snowy london streets. Christmas was nice; my mom and I got to have a nice and quaint little dinner together, I listened to christmas music, and hung out in the snow. I tried not to check my phone though, I still got DMs from some people at Orphic Academy. It got to my head a lot, but if I never go back, I never have to see them again.
I opened the wooden door to "Jane's" and walked in. The smell of old books, new books, and coffee beans danced around the room. I roamed the aisles, browsing through their new arrivals. Jane, the owner of the bookstore beamed her friendly smile as I thumbed through the young adult novels.
"As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once." - The Fault in Our Stars.
Do you ever see jaw dropping celebrities and cute strangers on the streets, but there's always something that pulls you to that one person? I tried to escape it, but for some reason- I always go back to him.
After purchasing a few books and a small cappuccino from the built-in café at the bookstore, I walked back home in the chilly winter weather. I ran upstairs to my tiny bedroom and sat in the bay window. The snow fell onto the glass as petite children laid on the ground making lopsided snow angels.
I checked my phone, "No New Messages." I sighed as I picked up one of my new books from my Harry Styles, "Treat People With Kindness" tote bag and began reading.
Ah, nothing's better than a new, crisp, fresh book.
*DING*
The doorbell went off as I slid out of my seat and walked downstairs.
"Fawn, Aster, Thomas? What are you doing here?" I opened the door to the last people I expected to see this Saturday. I haven't seen them in weeks, why are they here now?
