Anika was adjusting her veil when she felt the presence of her husband. It was as if there was a change in the air, making her be aware of the presence of her man. A small smile made its way to her face. She looked at him through the large mirror, seeing him walking towards her.
Shivaay surely was not in his best mood. He was displeased, worry made itself known on his face in the form of a deep frown, He didn't want to send Anika alone. Danger surrounded the world which lies outside the walls of Chittor. Humans resemble crocodiles and are waiting for a scope to gobble their prey.
"Hum hamare maike jaa raahe hai, jang pe nehi," (i am going to my maternal house not in any war) said Anika, turning to face him directly.
She felt her breathing halt for a moment.
Those eyes.
They weren't any shade of blue or green now, they were grey. Uncertainty floated in them, making her feel slightly guilty.
"Aap chinta mat kijiye, Shivaay," (don't worry) Anika assured, placing her hand on his bicep hesitantly. He visibly relaxed under her palm before speaking.
"Aap agar aj yudh pe ja raahi hoti phir bhi hume itni chinta nehi hoti, Anika," (i wouldn't have been thai worried if you were going on a war today)
"Hamari baat suniye, aj aapki sabha khatam hone ke baad, aap kal Singall aajayiega,"(listen to me, today your meeting will be done then you can come to Singhall tomorrow)
Shivaay slowly nodded, he felt a tug in his chest, reluctant to end her alone.
"Woh Singhall hai, Shivaay. Waha hume koyi khatra nehi hai," (that is Singhall and there is no danger there)
"Singhall se logon se aapko khatra nehi hai woh hum jante hai, par bahar ke logo se toh hai na, Anika?" (i know there is no da ger in Singhall but outside, there is)
"Bahar ke kaun log? Hum waha jayenge aur Data Hukum se milenge, bahar ke logo se thodi milenge," (I am going to meet father and not other people)
"Aapke jaane ka waqt ho raha hai na?" (you must be going now?)
Anika narrowed her eyes at him, "Aap toh aese keh raahe the, ki aap chahte hai hum na jaaye phir ab hume bhejne ke liye utawle ho raahe hai?" (you we speaking like you don't want me to go and now you are desperate for my departure?)
Shivaay couldn't help but smile softly at his wife.
Suddenly, he pulled her by her other hand, making her gasp as their bodies collided together. Shivaay wrapped his arms around her small, petite waist as he pulled her more to himself. Anika blushed furiously as she felt the heat radiate off him.
