Shivaay entered his wife's chamber in a grumpy mood, though it wasn't showing on his face, only he knew how irritated he felt. It was if the world has conspired against him and his love, vowing to not let them both be.
"Anika?" he called, upon not seeing her in her chamber. Where did she go? Worry filled his heart as he called her again.
Anika came out of her balcony, making relief replace his worry. Shivaay's gaze travelled to the empty bowl in his wife's hand. Shivaay's eyes travelled back to the face he loved staring at.
She was so beautiful.
Was green always this beautiful? Or it seemed to be now, as she had worn it.
"Aise kya dekh raahe hai?'" Anika gave him a weird look, before placing the empty bowl on the table. (why are you looking at me like this?)
"Wohi, jo hamara hai," he smirked, making his wife laugh, but the faint blush was not ignored by the king. (that, which is mine)
Shivaay couldn't help but smile. Hoping this happens lived long.
Little did he know, happiness was an illusion.
"Hamare wapas lautne ka samay ho gaya hai, aap abhi yaha kyun hai?" (it is time for us to leave, why are you still here?)
"Aapke paas aane ki ijazat chahiye kya hume?" (do i need permission to come to you?)
Anika turned to look at him, shaking her head.
"Humne aesa kab kaha? Aap ki marzi hai, jab aana chahtein hai, aaye, aur agar baat ijazat ki ho, toh woh toh aapko mil hi chuki hai," (when did I say so? It is your wish, when you want to come. And if permission is concerned, I have already given that,)
Anika's eyes didn't leave his. She saw him inhale sharply hearing her.
"Woh bhi sahi hai, magar hamare naa aane se aapko koyi fark nehi parega?" (that is right, but if I don't come then wouldn't it affect you?)
"Kyun parega? Agar aap ko kuch kaam hoga toh aap nehi aa payenge na?" (why should I? you would not be able to come if you are busy, right?) Anika tried her best to mask her glee. It was him playing all along, now it was her too.
"Toh iska toh yehi matlab hua na, ki aap ko farq nehi parta?" (so this means you do not care, right?)
"Shivaay, aap ye kya bol raahe hai? Kaesa farq? Aur hume kyun parega?" (what are you talking about, Shivaay? Why should I care?) she was glad that she was not facing him, otherwise he would have surely known.
