Holi aayi re
Piya ji re des reThe unmistakable smell of the festival adorned the air. Colours danced in the air as the giggles and mirth of children echoed in the surroundings. Women brought out the finest of their sarees and pieces of jewellery and even the men took out some extra time to get ready. After all, it was Holi today, a spring festival of fertility and harvest.
Holi aayi re
Piya ji re des reAnika had worn a cream-coloured saree as she took out a matching outfit for her husband. Her very busy husband was busy even on the occasion of Holi dealing with court matters. She blushed looking at herself in the mirror. She had taken extra time to decorate herself, for him. She had put on his favourite jewellery and a maroon bindi. She blushed looking at the clothes laid out on the bed. She had intentionally chosen the colour beige.
Mharo shaam
Hatilo kanhoShe wanted him to be the first one to apply colour to her just like he wanted her to be the first one to do the same to him. She was scared inside, what if someone else, or Maa sa had already applied colour on him? What about her then? A cloud of fear, anxiety, and disappointment loomed over her head as her excitement dimmed. However, she forced herself to be hopeful as she brushed off the unhappy thoughts.
Mharo shaam
Hatilo kanhoShe caressed the emerald-coloured jewels that she had taken out for her husband to wear. It was her favourite colour on him, for it accentuated his colour-changing eyes and brought out her favourite colour, green. A small smile broke out on her rosy lips as she thought about him. Just as if he had heard her thoughts, Shivaay entered their chambers, causing her to get startled. As their eyes met, stars clashed and both their hearts paused for a split second before a small smile formed on both their lips.

Anika too got up from the bed as he approached her like a predator, like always. She didn't miss his appreciative look as he feasted on her with his eyes alone.
Mharo shaam
Hatilo kanhoHis eyes travelled from her long, wavy locks, to her crimson bindi, long earrings, kamar patta, nathni, hand harness to armlets, layered necklaces, bangles, and anklets. Her neck was adorned with a huge necklace. An involuntary smirk formed on his lips seeing her attempt to hide his marks on her neck. Anika blushed under his gaze. That blush deepened as he pulled her close to him with his hands on her waist.
Holi toh khelen
Her dainty hands landed on his chest as she slowly parted her small lips to gasp, which soon transformed into a small smile as they gazed at each other fondly. Anika placed her head on his chest next, unable to meet his intense gaze. Shivaay chuckled softly as he gently ran his fingers through her hair.
