The first thing Scarlett felt when she woke up was a headache. For a moment, it was brutal, and she closed her eyes in an attempt to relax.

     "Boo."

She let out a gasp, opening her eyes. Morro, in the literal flesh, sat in front of her. Her surroundings were scarlet in color and consisted of the pawn shop, though it was broken down—just like it was before Lloyd was taken by the Preeminent.

     Her eyes widened. "Lloyd..."

"Go on. I'll let you process everything."

Scarlett sensed the sarcasm in his tone and stood up. "Did you... possess me? Why?"

"Well, because unfortunately Lloyd was right... you're a damn powerful Ninja."

She crossed her arms, her eyes lowering. "I don't know what he said to you... but I was only trying to strike your nerves. Lloyd is beyond stronger than me."

"Do you see this thing?" he asked.

A few feet next to him, there was a small flame—a flame that looked all too familiar, and nothing like Kai's.

Her face lit up. She hadn't seen her elemental power in months.

"No matter how much I do this," Morro held his arm out, a small wind gust blowing toward the flame. It didn't die out or even move for the matter. "It keeps on standing."

Now Scarlett smiled. "Because it's a fire that's near impossible to destroy."

She walked toward the flame, but as soon as she got close, Morro blew her away with a swipe of his hand.

     "Hey!"

"I wondered what this was at first," he began, getting to his feet. "And then I realized: this is a fragment of the power that you so carelessly lost."

"Carelessly?" she shouted, anger quickly rising in her voice. "It was stolen from me!"

"You and I are the same now. I get a glimpse of everything in your head—" Morro grinned down at her before sending a kick to her stomach. "—everything. Your memories, your thoughts..."

She let out a grunt, grabbing onto where he hit. If she expected an attack, she would've been better prepared.

"We are not the same," Scarlett lightly gasped, glaring up at him. "I don't know what you think you're gaining from possessing me... that's my power."

Morro took a step closer, looking down at her almost mockingly. "Without me, you wouldn't even have discovered it! I'll make this power my own, and when I do, I'll become stronger than any of you Ninja... and I'll throw your body to waste."

This made her flinch—but she only took it as an empty threat. "You'll never... with or without me, the others will stop you and the Preeminent."

"That's a nice wish, but it's over." Morro began to walk back to his seat, sitting down and keeping an arm held out to the undying flame. "You'll just have to watch everyone suffer."

Scarlett gazed at her little bit of elemental power. A multitude of questions began racing through her mind—where did it come from? Did Chen not take all of her power? Did it return recently?

No matter what she asked, Morro simply stared at her with a grin. He knew what she was thinking, as they shared one mind. And, well, they were both technically in her mind.
